There's not a chance of resistance per say with arteminisin, it's that if it's taken for long the intestines will develop an enzyme that "neutralizes" (if you will) the arteminisin. This does not happen with the whole herb (artemesia annua), only with the extract of arteminisin.
And I too would encourage the use of arteminisin, and the use of the other herbs as well as the pharma abx. Just remember that all the meds will be strong and to start off slow and low.
While this is true, artemisinin is not a great mono-therapy due to actual resistance (been studied in malaria).
I'd encourage you to use it with other herbs or pharmaceuticals.
I'd also encourage you to use artesunate, which is 4 to 5 times more active in the human body than artemisinin.
