I am looking to see if anyone on here 1.)had a deer tick feeding on them for several days 2.) thought it was a scab 3.) started to get pain at "scab" site and dramatically powerful head spins before they even knew they had a tick 4.) discovered it was a tick after letting it feed for 2 more days 5.) day of removal - sought medical treatment with antibiotics and was given basic Quest Lyme Titer test 6.) got bullseye rash within 3 days and got sicker and sicker for the next 21 days 7.) had equivocal ELISA followed by negative western Blot as results that came back from the initial visit 8.) Saw ID Idiot who did not examine them AT ALL, listen to heart or breathing and told them: "test was negative but due to your rash I would say you have what I believe to be EARLY Lyme Disease - nothing to worry about. Just retest after you finish antibiotics and don't listen to those people online." 8.) finished the 21 days of Doxycycline - AND 9.) was under no doctors care at the end of the abx.

I am on my own now and not sure what to expect. I am afraid to think that I'm all better and because the herxing is at a pause...it is a mystery as to what will happen now. I am more flat out exhausted than I have been the whole time - because I felt like I was going at an urgent pace for the last 21 days and my sleep was disrupted constantly. I am supposed to go with the orders - back to quest for more inaccurate testing. One test prescription from primary care says:8593/lyme disease antibodies (IgG,IgM), immunoblot. to be performed on or around 12/27/16. The other - from the IDS, simply has scrawled at the bottom of the order form: Lyme ab.

What does all this mean and are these exactly the same tests?

I am just disgusted and haven't even told my back story yet due to how sick I've been. But I am new to this whole world and apologize for my inexperience, illiteracy, and inability to take this all in at a faster and clearer pace. Thank you to those who emailed me with LLMD suggestions. I will get back to you very soon.

I went infected for 7 years before getting tested, and then went another 23 years after that before having another test and getting treatment.

Chances are you aren't better after 21 days, and most likely because you've stopped the doxy, are no longer having die off herxes, so you're right about that.

If you can't get back on abx treatment, you should look into an herbal protocol that you can get on your own, but in the meantime, try to avoid stress as much as possible, and keep up with your de-toxing routines.

dismissed - You do need more treatment...the sooner you schedule an appointment with a LLMD, the better.
I wouldn't put it off.

If i'm recalling correctly, this is a recent infection?
You want to treat it now...continue to treat until symptom free for several more weeks.

Girlie - I have been planning to contact you with my rash photos. I am embarrassed to say that I only know how to post them from my mac, directly to an email or a place where you can post direct. THIS....IS.... a recent infection, but there is question of 30 year old previous LYME (which I haven't explained yet). Since the ELISA was unequivocal and the Western Blot was negative (blood taken the day tick was removed from underside of knee) - and have just finished 200mgs of Doxy per day for 21 days...how would that affect new retests of the same lab's inept tests?

The LLMD's that have been sent to me so far, all have waiting lists for a year or more. I remember you said that with the EM rash and negative test - that equals Lyme PERIOD!!! How do you get an actual MD of ANY TYPE to acknowledge that in writing/diagnosis? If they won't acknowledge it, how will they justify giving the abx that you need? This is diabolical.

That's why you need a LLMD.

You can call and ask to be put on a waitlist (or more than one waitlist) - for a cancellation - people often cancel appointments.
You can do that with a few different LLMD's. Then when one comes up, just take yourself off the other waitlists.

I don't know if more testing will help with Doctors' who are ignorant to proper treatment required.

and treat hard ...you can order abx online ...flagyl or tinidazole would probably knock out the rest unless you have babesia or bartonella ? Did you get the tick tested ? They are natures dirty needle ...

My case:
Got bit June 2013, saturday, biking in a city park. It looked like a scab and I knew nothing about ticks and lyme. On monday the scab tried to run away when I checked and I killed it. Then I had the rash, some tingling in legs and arms, mild cold like symptoms which soon went away, the rash stayed far longer. But nothing was done by doctors because I had to wait one month for Elisa - result borderline. The final doctor saw the rash and said lyme - 2x100 doxy for 2 weeks. Nobody considers here Lyme a serious infection. They do not treat you right away because anything for several months is considered new infection that can be treated with doxy for 2 weeks. And that was that. The only symptom that I had left was intermittent air hunger (which I still have). Spring 2014 I get urinary/prosate problems which I did not connect to the tick and even forgot to tell the doctor about it (now I regret it). Some IV abx for 3 days and I was fine although some discomfort in the lower abdominal area remained. Fall 2014 periods of dizziness and after some research on my own I knew I had chronic Lyme. I had two periods with abx treatment which is half self treatment half short course from doctor. For a year I took GDB LB Tonic Protocol, no symptoms (apart from air hunger from time to time) but obviously under treatment again. Fall 2016 again symptoms. Now I am throwing all Buhner at it.
I had slight bells palsy all this time which again I did not connect to Lyme, thought I was just getting older.

So treat viciously NOW and persistently.
