Full Moon 20 June !!

Thank you for bringing this up, Suzee! It can be an important warning for some of us! Especially if we don't know about it.

We can sometimes ease the days leading up to a full moon or the days that follow with it's increased herxing by increasing our detoxing, slowing down our activity levels and resting during this time though.

Because the full moon causes bacteria and parasites to be extra active 2 days prior full moon, during and continues two days after it, it is always a good idea to increase your herbs or parasite treatment a bit - IF you can. I know I have been feeling a little worse this week, so I have been mindful of increasing my herbal tinctures and detoxing a bit more, too.

The new moon's getting jealous, guys. Its other half always gets all the attention.

Joking aside, I've found my reactions to the new moon are just as strong, if not stronger, than what I experience around the full moons.

I used to have this cyst under my ear that would get all hot, inflamed, and swell up with this strange fluid within the days around the new moon.

Every month, I'd feel it coming on a couple days before, then would come the swelling, fluid, peaking around the day of the new moon, and then receding a couple days after.

I'm glad I got it cut out of me.

I still have activity there (slight aching, inflammation, and this weird itching sensation underneath the skin), but it doesn't do the swelling or fluid thing anymore.

I'm worried it'll come back - it'll be a year gone in September. But.. you know, crap happens. Hopefully they'll remove it again, if it does. I'm trying to get a little better before then though.

Anyway, yeah.. stupid moon, I kind of hate you..

You're lucky you're so pretty. Plus, I think life on Earth would get really messed up without you (the tides and all that), so there's that.

I too used to herx on the full moon and the new moon. For me the herxing during the new moon stopped first, then it took a while for the herxing during the full moon to quit, but it did.

Hang in there everyone! Rest, keep life simple for a few days and we can get through this one too! At least it's one herx we know when it will come and can kind of plan around it at times.

That's worth celebrating, Reminder!! Not everyone reacts to the full moon, yet others not only react to the full moon, but the new moon as well. Since no one (other than patients living through it) wishes to know why, there are no studies to let us know exactly why some do and some don't - as far as I know.

Is anyone finding this months Full Moon yesterday to be EXTREMELY bad-worse than usual.

Thanks for the quick turned around, and I am sorry to hear that you too have been suffering like me for the last couple of days. I am in the northeast, and so our weather was pretty cold and somewhat snowy as well. Unfortunately, this one caught me off guard, as I did not realize it was a Full Moon until I was out walking last night and looked up and saw that arch enemy of Lyme-the Full Moon up in the sky. I am hoping that is the main reason that I have been feeling particularly bad for the last couple of days, and am praying that this well go away soon. I am glad to hear that you agree this this was on of the more intense lunar occurrences-thus causing severe Lyme/Herx reactions

Things have been particularly dicey in my household this week - I have someone staying here that I am sure has Lyme....

He went out last night and reported back about the huge moon. I asked if it was full, because I don't always pay attention, and yes, it is, of course. And he said it had a white ring around it.

I told him the oldtimers call that a 'sundog'. I told him we see those sometimes in the Winter here, and the ring is actually ice crystals reflecting light. Usually within days we'll have frozen precipitation of some kind.

I am beginning to hate full moons. Some people get overly mental.
