Bicillin IM Injections worth it?

Doc wants to put me on weekly bicillin IM injections. Now that the new calendar year for insurance is starting it's not going to be cheap out of pocket and it looks pretty painful. I'm also reading that a lot of people have bad reactions / multi day herxes.

So is it worth the trouble? I'm kind of turned off from this treatment right now.

I saw a lot of improvement on it. They hurt but wasn't too bad I didn't think. The herx was pretty bad but I wasn't detoxing enough then I don't think

How long before you saw improvement? Did the herxes get easier after a couple weeks? If I do it, any tips on injecting? Pre ice your arse?

I didn't pre-ice. Staying relaxed helped the most which is easier said than done. The herxes came on quick but I noticed a difference in a couple weeks. The doctor giving them was an ID and deemed me cured after 8 weeks (once a week). I was not and there went my shots. I wish I had continued them.

i went straight to rocephin which may put blo on pause ...cant hurt as bad as bee stings

My wife has lyme/mycoplasma and she got weekly bicillin shots for about 6 weeks and they did absolutely nothing for her.
