First time poster - Had a small rash that I think might have been from a tick - can't figure out how to post the picture to get an opinion.

Welcome. Never posted a pic, so I don't have that answer. Just wanted to keep this up there for the admins... sorry you need to be here, but welcome
I know a tick rash looks like a bullseye... but I never had it personally.

Mgbb,
Welcome. Sorry you may have Lyme, but happy you made your way here. This board is great and the moderators will be along soon to expertly advise you.
Hopefully you do not have lyme. That said, many people have lyme who never recall being bitten, and/or who don't have the classic bulls-eye.
The very top post is 'new to lyme' that may help you.
Do you have symptoms? How long ago were you bitten? If you tell us a little more we will be able to better advise.
Hang in there! You can heal from Lyme.

Do you also have other symptoms, besides the rash?

Lyme (Borrelia Burgdorferi) isn't the only tick borne disease that may present with a rash.
The Lyme rash if you have one, looks like a bull'seye.
Bartonella can present with lines that look like nasty scratches UNDER the skin, or stretch mark like appearances.
Rocky Mountain spotted Fever may have a rash that can look like a good case of Chicken Pox or Measles.
Same with Ehrlichia Rash.
Some people don't get or see anything, but if you do, this can help identify them. The 'net has many good images, but it helps to know what you're looking for.
Welcome, this forum is filled with good caring people and a wealth of info.

Hi all,
Thanks for the fast response, seems like a great community. I've dealt with anxiety for most my life and ever since I learned of Lyme it's become my worst fear. I often overthink things and take every precaution possible. That being said I have attached a link to the photos below. Looks like I was bit by something and the red seems to be diminishing over the past 48 hrs but I don't what it was and from what I've read so far rashes can take many forms. Your expertise would be appreciated!

I don't know if that is a bulls-eye rash...I do see a red spot but can't tell if there's anything around it.
I am curious, though, to hear what other members say.
You're right, the 'bulls eye' can take on different forms...and isn't always a classical 'bulls-eye'.
Were you in a tick-infested area....do you have other symptoms?

Mgbb,
It is hard to tell from the photo. I will tell you that my bite looked just like that at first. For about
ten days in fast, then the bulls-eye showed up. But not everyone gets the bulls-eye.
It also looks like many other bites so hopefully it isn't lyme.
Keep us posted.

Thanks!
To answer some of your questions: I was not in any tick infested areas lately, just work and home. The past week we were traveling and were in hotels and homes. The only thing I can think of would be the home we rented had a dog (could tell by the unvaccuned carpets) and a real xmas tree indoors. At first I thought possibly a bedbug but read they mainly come in multiples and spider bites would have two holes for the fangs whereas I just had one.
As for symptoms, i do have headaches and general body aches however I often get headaches and have had general body aches in the past due to anxiety so just trying to piece it all together as best I can but also as logical as I can too.

Well the dog could have dropped ticks...and it's thought that fleas can transmit lyme (it's well known that fleas transmit bartonella)
