Interesting read, Girlie. I consider my initial GB issues what signaled my path to treating Lyme. May even call it a blessing in disguise.
I had GB pain for months (no real Lyme symptoms yet) and went through all the ultrasounds/MRI with no real evidence of problems. Finally had the HIDA scan show 15% ejection, had GB removal, and everything was fine...until Lyme symptoms kicked in a few months later.
Months of headaches, neuro issues, neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain, random joint pain, and ultimately my right knee ballooned with swelling prompting my Ortho to test for Lyme. Western Blot came back Lyme positive.
I still have no idea when Lyme began for me (as I hadn't had a tick bite in 25 years). Symptom-wise, all of this happened within about one year. My theory is my Lyme was concentrated in my GB and once removed, it decided to spread like wildfire into other parts of my body. My Western Blot came back with 3 Lyme bands positive ,only igm and no igg, which is said to suggest recent infection (within a year or two). Who knows, maybe the bite 25 years ago decided to finally take flight.
I did a few months of Doxy, everything subsided for the most part but some issues returned here and there. I'm continuing on my path now solely on Buhner herbs with decent success (nearly 6 months in now). Hopefully my story can help anyone else as the one year was terrible. There is a path to recovery, stay positive.
