I wouldn't suggest Mayo clinic, they really don't know much about these infections. We've had members that have gone there and have reported this.

I would encourage you to get in to see a LLMD - not that they are miracle workers, but they are your best bet for good treatment. Do be sure to ask to be put on a cancellation list, that way you can get a phone call if someone cancels their appt so you can be seen a bit sooner.

I have heard about dnaconnexions as well. I assume that is just as respected as igenex? Is it typically blood and urine? How long do they take to get back results?

Sorry you were bitten but glad you found your way here.

Very nice group who are experts in Lyme. I would have lost my sanity without these mods/posters helping me navigate. They will save you a lot of wasted time.

Do not go to the Mayo Clinic. They don't recognize Lyme. You will be given a lot of tests and told that you are fine.

Book an appt. with an LLMD asap. Get on the cancellation list as Trav suggested, I got moved up three months by doing this. Call every single day to ask if anyone cancelled. Be super nice, get to know the names of those that answer the phone, and express that you can get there with little notice.

In the meantime detox like crazy, rest, eat well, ask lots of questions. I would begin herbs NOW.

My bad. You are me seven months ago! Lyme is a steep learning curve and every time you think you know something it changes.

There is a post at the very top of the forum called 'new to lyme' within in that post is a link to detox options. I do: Yogi Detox tea, Traditional Medicines detox tea, activated charcoal, apple cider vinegar (I put 2 tbsp in 2 teabags of detox tea -so 3 detoxes right there), Alka Selzer Gold, dry skin brushing, drink lemon-water all day, coconut pulling.

HERBS: THIS is where this board is phenomenal. I was too weak to read Lyme-herb books and the experts here will walk you through it all - what to begin with, where to order, etc...

They should be a long soon. I think telling them your worst symptoms will be helpful.

My favorite detox:

- warm epsom salt baths. you can buy the epsom salt jugs in Walmart.

I also like Nutramedix Pinella and Burbur. You can buy these from Amazon, iHerb and from Nutramedix.

My LLND sends me HMF Forte. (capsules)

I also take one from my local health food store...it's a Natural Factors one. (capsules)
Also, take Bio-K (also from my health food store) - it's like little yogurts...but packed full of probiotics.
Lastly, I buy Kefir - unsweetened, unflavored from my grocery store.

I take minimum of two types every day...sometimes three.

Just mixing up the types...

I would suggest you buy some Kefir from the grocery store.
Sauerkraut is also another food source.

Your LLMD may recommend one, as well.

Found Bio-K and a liver supplement. Also got toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo and soap. I have reactions to all fake sugars so I figure I'll cut other crap out too. Will continue to look for other stuff online.

I will talk to my doctor and try to get both genex and dan connections tests done.

What exactly is a rife machine? How much are they?

I am seeing way too many terms I will have to investigate

It does have milk thistle - but if you don't have a ragweed allergy, it will be fine.
