Just out of curiosity: do you have any suggestions on where to obtain material (shoot, root, part of the stem, etc.) from a Japanese Knotweed plant for home gardening? With the intention of regularly pulling plants as needed before they become fully established and cause environmental harm.
We live in Florida, and it's not as common to find Knotweed down here as it is in the North.
I am aware that the plant is classified as an invasive species, and therefore haven't been able to find listings online for live plants you can grow. There seems to be an abundance of health products made from Knotweed and dried Knotweed plants, but I wanted to ask the Lymies for help if anyone knew where to obtain a live plant or the materials to grow the Knotweed plant?
Any suggestions? (Apart from traveling to a state with Japanese Knotweed and foraging until a patch us discovered)
Alternatively, does anyone have a good suggestion for getting Knotweed powder in bulk? Most listings are sold out of the loose powder, and the markup on capsules is significant (i.e. GDB caps vs. wholesale powder) considering the maintenance dosage required by Buhner.
