Hey Guys,
So I had two appointments today. Dentist And PCP.
When I visited my dentist today, I told her about my debilitating 24/7 tensions headaches. All of muscles in my scalp and in my head are very tight/tense and inflamed causing my most dreadful symptom.
I was astonished that she said 100% sure that it is Lyme! Either actual infection or residual damage from infection.
She said lyme disease causes these symptoms and it is very common to tight and inflamed muscles even in the head and face.
She told me to email her after I visited my PCP later on in the day.
Well... my PCP said Lyme could possibly be the reason and was about to refer me to and Infectious Disease Specialist.
He also said that chronic lyme is treated with on going doxy therapy. Wow!!! A conventional doctor acknowledged Chronic Lyme was real!!! (however, I don't tolerate doxy at all and believe this therapy is not the best)
Still to hear him say that was awesome. He is a Resident so the Attending Physician overrides him believed that it was best that go to the headache clinic at Johns Hopkins. She said they also have a few unconventional/alternative treatments that they could try at the clinic since I like alternative treatments better than conventional.
Also, my PCP talked about maybe giving Topamax a try?? I don't know what it is or what it does. Does anyone have any information on this or experiences??
Thanks
