Coffee is known in the Functional-holistic medicine field as somewhat toxic to the body/gut, thus obviously why it helps you "go".
For those who need help being "regular" in the AM, 400 or so mg of high quality magnessium such as glycinate can achieve the same positive results.
Kava brand reduced acid coffee (still caffinated, avail at Walmart) is easier on the gut. Regular coffee is an "on" switch for reflux in many people.
Caffinated coffee was pretty hard on my nervious system when adrenals were "cooked", made me a jittery wreck, I used tea instead with adrenal adaptogens in the AM.
