artemisinin and tinnitus?

Just wondering if anyone has experienced tinnitus as a side effect of artemisinin.

Not as a side effect of Art. I've had the pulsatile tinnitus since a few months after lyme symptoms started.

It is much better now...and it actually stopped for a bit...and I was doing rounds of Artemisinin at the time.
Which...made me wonder if I have babesia.
But, I've been told by my LLND it helps with all the infections...including 'persisters'.

So, maybe in your case it is a herx from the Art.

You are pulsing it, right? You don't want to take it too many days in a row and risk the intestines creating an enzyme to deactivate it.

I don't have the unique symptoms of band but I sure do for bart. Like you said, can't hurt

I have been diagnosed with chronic lyme and babesia and my doctor put me on a protocol of artemisin. I have suffered all my life from tinnitus and after I took the artemisin, it got much worse. Artemisinin can exacerbate tinnitus in some circumstances. I generally recommend the use of Sida acuta or alchornea cordifolia or cryptolepis for the treatment of babesia these days rather than artemisinin. You can get them from .......

Hello, my dr llmd prescribed the artemininsin when i first started treatment for lyme and RMSF. I never had a positive babesia, test but had alot of symptoms such as shortness of breath, head pressure dizziness, and muscle pain and weakness. I also suffer from yeast over growth which is better now, just getting off of abx. the ingredients in artemininsin also treats yeast, the black walnut, i had a big herx from, also tinnitis, from treating my yeast, and felt very warm the first couple of days when i take the pills. but it has definitely helped alot with my head pressure which was my worst symptom is now clearing up! i take it every 10 days for 3 days in a row. I am going to start my dr. wants me to start MC bb1 now which is for Babs.

Poocheez - you mentioned the ingredients in Artemisinin. There is one ingredient - Artemisinin (and the fillers in the capsules) - not black walnut.
You must be taking a supplement with more than just Art.

hello, yes im taking a brand by researched nutritionals also has the black walnut as well sorry about that. my dr. works with that company. im not promoting in any way, i know they sell it i another website, its pretty good.
