no side effect from bactrim ds. shoud i countinue?

share your experience with bactrim ds.i am afraid of taking this drug more after reading negative review all over internet

I've had many courses of Bactrim DS for long periods of time with no adverse issues. It was always combined with other ABX, never mono therapy. Right now I pulse it with Ceftin two weeks on and two weeks off.

Do you take anything else?

If you don't have side effects, I see no reason to stop it. Many people are satisfied.

I'm taking Bactrim - 2 tablets twice per day since December. But I haven't read up on the side effects because I'm afraid I will put them in my head. Anything "odd" I've attributed to kill-off and herxes, but as of this moment, I am feeling pretty good.

The only person I know that has side effects was bluelyme.
He said something about it making his 'blood boil'.

Maybe he will post on this thread..if it's bumped up when he's on.

I've been on Bactrim DS for 6 months its done very well for one of my major symptoms. It's a combo abx so some LLMD's only prescribe this and that's fine since its a combo.

I've been on this 2x/day since December as well. No issues other than feeling lethargic the first week. I think people that have issues are ones that have sulfonamide (sulfa) allergies and not know it.
