Traveler- my daughter is not following an anti-candida diet. She is gluten-free and we don't have treats in our house. But, she is gone at school for over 8 hours/day during the week so I have to pack some basic kid snacks to get her energy up throughout the day. Plus she claims kids trade candy like crazy during the lunch hour...so it is hard for me to monitor! There is only so much monitoring a parent can do, and I'm just happy that she is compliant taking all of her vitamins and herbs during the day ;-)
I may try to add in some more natural options to treat yeast flares.
The thing is, without the anti-candida diet, she is continuing to 'feed' the bacteria daily or whenever she eats anything that is not on the anti-candida diet. It's unlikely that a person can get the infection under control while continuing to eat foods that feed the bacteria. I would highly encourage you to switch her to an anti-candida diet and provide only the 'treats' that are on the anti-candida diet for her to heal.
