What probiotics are you using?

I am taking Ther- biotic complete 100 billion daily and acidophilus 4 tabs daily. It seems that members mix them up a bit. I am curious if what I'm taking is ok.

Right now the probiotics I get are from home made sauerkraut and what comes in a TJ's green drink mix.

I like Seroyal HMF Forte (something like that) or Dr. Ohhirra's Professional Formula.

My son takes PB8 green bottle.

My husband takes VSL - LLMD suggested that one.

No, not on antibiotics for the last couple of weeks. I was on 100 mg doxy twice daily for 4 months. Prior to that several abx but they caused havoc on my gut. I am restarting japanese knotweed at the moment and have all the other Buhner tinctures on hand.

We make our own. sauerkraut (red and green cabbage), pickles, carrots, beets, cauliflower. If think of pickling anything else, I will LOL

They look beautiful and collorful in the jars and kids loved the pickles, carrots, beets and cauliflower. THe sauerkraut, they are not crazy about as much. The more colours you add, the more different beneficial bacteria. We stopped buying probiotics long ago. We also use organic Kefir and yogurt. The more the better!

I was making my own sauerkraut but I used too much salt to begin with and it kind of put me off. I found too much salt in the sauerkraut gave me extremely bad toothache. Key is just to season the water enough to give a hint of salt, the salt does nothing other than act as a flavour enhancer. The key is to make sure all of the sauerkraut stays submerged because the bacteria we want growing is anerobic (without oxygen).

I still use basically my ever faithful kefir... I do have to include B. infantis from time to time though.

I take Swanson Ultra because of the Lactobacillus rhamnosus. I used to have histamine intolerance.
