For instance I had a bad reaction (facial, throat swelling, rash) to cephalexin once, and I am to avoid taking any abx in that class, according the the Drs.
I think this abx resistance stuff is just a smoke screen. How is it that they are so scared of treating us with Doxy for more than 3 weeks, yet folks with Acne problems (my ex husband was one), will be prescribed tetracycline for months to years?
Yes - and I recently read that rheumatic fever is sometimes treated up to 5 years.
My own GP said tuberculosis treatment can take a year to a year and s half sometimes.
