Can symptom Flares be from herxing from Bartonella?

Hello all, Just wondering if you can have the same symptoms as Bartonella when you are herxing from it? I haven't had them in a bit, now I have sole pain and bad anxiety.

Not sure what is happening.

Yes - the definition of a herx is new or worsening symptoms. And I do the same thing - when I'm herxing from Bart is when I get the "Bart scratches" and other Bart symptoms come on stronger, like bladder issues, neuro pain and others.

Traverler, what are the Bart scratches? I get these weird itchy patches on my feet and legs. They first start out as flat red dots and then start itching. Could that be caused by Bart?

These infections can cause a large number of skin issues. Can you take a picture of it and post it here? You will have to use a 3rd party photo hosting site, such as photobucket or tinypic or others, get a link and post that on here?

Okay thanks, my skin irritations don't really look like that. Like I said they start as flat red spots then turn into monster itchy patches. They just stay on my lower legs and top of my feet. I know it has to have something to do with detoxing because it doesn't happen all the time and I use all the same chemical free products. It happens the most after I take an infrared sauna.

If I had half a brain I could figure out how to load photobucket or the others. My laptop is old so I'm not sure if it would handle the software. I'll try to have my husband look at it this weekend.

Thanks, Traveler, I appreciate it. I did find a new doctor who is only 6ish hours away. She also skypes after the first couple of visits. So hopefully, she can help me turn the corner.

I am taking the herbs that were discussed in the article that Peteza sent and they really got rid of the majority of the burning. I am using a rife machine right now and just finished a long protocol on Bartonella. So I'm sure it got rid of a lot of it, so now I'm herxing. I even went really slow and detoxed constantly so who knows.

After 25 years of tick borne illness, I had never see any scratches.

A few weeks or maybe a month ago, I saw some marks on my left inner thigh that looked like the dog scratched me... (no recall of that) Borken blood vessels under the skin type rash. I suspected Bart but wasn't sure. 4 days ago, I woke up with four scratches on the other inner thigh(again that looked like the dog scratched me). The scratches are bizarre a streaky.

I am now assuming Bart. Would this be happening because I have been hitting Bartonella with herbs and rife? I didn't think that it happened with die off, just with active infection....? What is the mechanism for the scratch looking broken blood vessels.......

Traveler, sounds like you get the scratches with die off.... ?So perhaps it means that it just isn't active infection with me....?

AK - the scratches can happen due to die-off...yes.

And that is active infection.

I guess that I meant that I had only thought that the scratches came when the Bartonella was "blooming", not when it was dying.........

It is weird to think that I have had this one for 25 years and never had the scratches before.........

Sometimes it is treatment that brings them out.

I just recently started Babesia treatment...and I noticed when I was in my epsom salt bath (twice this happened) that I had red dots on the top of my right foot.
I think they were the petechiae that comes with babesia.

So, yes it can happen just from treating.
