Hi daisies... I imagine it's a rash due to detoxing. I have used a FIR sauna for over 15 years nearly daily and not had rashes like you describe... i do notice, however that my Bart marks come out while I am in the sauna. It's freaked me out a few times. Those marks last on me it seems for a few days and then they go away... like you, they never bothered me at all besides looking at it.
You can always try to reduce the heat to see if it reduces the rash.

I don't seem to get the marks any longer. I would keep an eye on it and make sure it goes away improves over time.
Does it happen right away or after you've been heating up in there for a bit?

Daisies, I'm like you... all in. It's not smart all the time but I am who I am, lol... keep us updated. Interested if it calms down with use

Do you dry brush before you start your sauna?

I have gotten those for years and just thought I had dry skin until I was finally diagnosed with Lyme and Bart. The only difference for me is that it the spots turn very itchy. I just get them on my lower legs and feet. I think they are a factor of trying to detox because I don't get them every time I take a sauna which is quite often.
I dry brush before I sauna and again it doesn't seem to matter if I get them or not.
Hope that helps. The infrared sauna is such a great way to detox so I hope you're able to continue. Make sure you hydrate well before and after.

daisies I get something similar although I do regular sauna. I thought maybe it was related to my sitting with my hands resting there but it makes no difference if I move them. The rash takes maybe 20 minutes to develop and goes away in an hour or 2 after i leave

Sounds like it was a yeast rash though? And, aren't you making progress with your yeast/fungal treatments? The combination of good detoxing and effective treatments could be why the rash went away.

Yes, as dry skin brushing lifts up that dead layer of skin so that our skin can better help us detox. It's the largest organ of the body, so it makes sense to get it into helping us to detox!
