Trying to get to the bottom of my daughter's rash and bedwetting

Ive been on this forum for several years, however, there are so many newbies, most of you don't know me - my whole family got lyme disease back in 2013.

I am doing so well now that I went back to work and have 2 part time jobs! Working to pay off the debt from not working for 3 years....

I still have leftover fungal and joint issues from when i was sick, but its honestly nothing - I am working out 3 times a week, doing heavy weight lifting and aerobics. Now that I am well, I am trying to fix the "little" leftover issues with my kids. My son is perfectly fine. He was wetting his bed too whenever he got sick (age 11), and wetting his underpants on and off during the day. That all came to a complete stop when I treated him with Leuricidin for a few weeks. Of course I am still keeping a close on on him though....My older daughter was having issues, and I treated her with cat's claw and japanese knotweed for roughly 9 months, and she is fine as a dime now.

My youngest is who I am worried about. She is happy as a clam. Basically healthy, no problems except for 2 - she still wets her bed at night, and I never know when it will happen. I used to take her to the bathroom in her sleep, but I stopped doing that bc we got her a low loft bed and I was hurting my back lifting her off it. So I changed her "diet" in the sense that I don't let her eat or drink 1.5 hrs before bed. This never worked 100% and this is the other problem -

Whenever my daughter takes a bath, she comes out with pink blotches all over her back. Her skin is just colored, not bumpy or anything. Its like someone took a light red stamper and stamped her back with it. Once or twice I have to admit, the redness was in line form, like scratches and resembled a bartonella like rash. I would post pics, but i honestly think my description is enough. FYI when she was sick with lyme, once, and only once, she woke up with a bart like scratch rash on her face which went away in a few hours.

IN ADDITION, once in the spring, and once in the fall, my older daughter came down with strept thoat. Celine, instead of getting strept throat, she got a boil like pimple on her skin with a white bump on top. It was a skin infection instead of a throat infection. Treated her with antibiotics both times and it went away. This worried me though. Then, again, in January, she started getting those pimples again. They were much smaller this time, but looked the same, red with white dots ontop, and I said that's enough, no more antibiotics, and I started treating her with both Leuricidin and the herbs cats claw and japanese knotweed. It worked, it cleared up, but when I stopped giving them to her, they started to return. I reinitiated the treatment, and they went away. The bedwetting also decreased. Well here we are in April and here i am frustrated. I am close but I am not cutting it - she needs something else, but WHAT?? I have buhner's book, but I don't know what to do........

advice please??? I still have her on leuricidiin and cat's claw and JKW, but she just wet her bed again last night, hasn't in over a week, and she still gets the light rashes. I need to get her to beat this, and I know I am going in the right direction, but I don't know which way to turn now. I know she has either Bart left or some sort of bacteria in her and I want to kill it all off once and for all........ Thanks for your help in advance!!

Wow, I wish I had an answer for you on the bedwetting. My son, 5, still does regularly, and I haven't figured it out yet. Right now, our ND is treating him for yeast and metals. I'm hoping that will help, but not going to hold my breath. I think he probably still has some issues with parasites, which the ND will probably address down the road, and I think that is probably contributing to it, too.

Hi Chapelle - great that you are doing so well!!

I was wondering if your younger daughter was treated long enough...and was she treated for co -infections?

A 2 year old bedwetting once in a while (or is it every night?) isn't a big concern...but the blotches/scratches after her bath makes me wonder if she has bartonella.

When I've gotten rashes..it is often after my epsom salt baths.

You moms are amazing. Your determination is unparalleled. Your job is unending. ;)

Just wanted to share quickly that I reached another level of attacking yeast/fungus with biofilm busting w/ Beyond Balance BFM-1. I'm not fully done because I'm still on the abx, which is creating some of the biofilm issues, but wanted to throw that out there as maybe a way to make even more progress w/ y/f.

I have no idea what to suggest with your daughter. I was a bed-wetter and I had a lot of mercury fillings as a kid (I now wonder if our dentist was creating a fraudulent need for fillings - nevertheless, I had a ton) and only in retrospect w/ all the info we now have, I am nearly certain I had high level of metals and this is likely the reason I had yeast issues then, was malnourished, underweight, hated food (never had appetite).

As a pre-teen and into my 20s I struggled a lot with constant swollen lymphs, cankor sores and multiple cases of mono. In retrospect I can't believe the MDs never did anything about it. Viruses were ravaging my tiny little body. Exacerbated by the high metals? Other way around?

I think you're on to something with a viral load - have you tried Beyond Balance IMNV-II or III? I've had more success w/ acyclovir but hope I can transition back to the tinctures some day. Do her nodes feel ok?

Aren't skin issues more common w/ bart? I think you might be onto something there, too. I'm also pretty sure I had bart as a kid, which might have tied into the sx I mentioned above. The Byron White A-Bart did really well with so many of my sx but had to stop taking it because the GI herxes from it were severe, landed me in ER. But I do think it's a great tincture. Hoping to transition back on that too.

I have 3-4 different kinds of skin symptoms, one is small EM rashes, I think two are from bart and one is a mystery. The skin issues never showed up until I started treating and based on other things I've read, I think it's logical to interpret as yet another way the infection manifests and that you just gotta treat until it stops. I now believe that this can take years in some people.

Hi Chapelle. I just happened to come on tonight and noticed your post.

So the key 3 things you are using to treat your children is cat's claw, Japanese knotweed, and monolaurin? Lauricidin brand? And do you find it helps? I think I took it and to be honest I think I got to close to symptom free but I stopped and then got worse again.

As for the red splotches... I STILL get those but only on my feet after showers and not on my back. It went away when I was on abx but of course I royally screwed myself by stopping the abx. I too believe the red splotches after a shower is bartonella.

darn Bart it is just soooo hard for me to get rid of. I am gonna stick with monolaurin as you have posted that it really helps.

oh yes, monolaurin (lauricidin) is amazing stuff. I took it when I was treating candida. It works for many different things. I give it to my kids when they get sick too - and it clears the virus up fast.

I think after everyone's input, and more thought, I am going to order byron white A-Bart. I had bartonella and beat it with bactrim and zithromax, but i was also on Abart. Maybe with my luck my daughter, since she is so young, will beat it with just the herbs alone. Fingers crossed it works!

After reading these posts, I was going to ask why not put her on a full Bart protocol for an extended time (not just a month or two) and see if that doesn't help. I agree that those symptoms seem to indicate Bart.

Trav - I decided that's what im gonna do.

i took her off leuricidin bc i dont want her on it for too long. it works well when she gets colds and such and she doesnt have any skin abrasions at the moment, just the regular rash after a bath.

as soon as i stopped the leuricidin she started wetting her bed nightly again. crazy!

i am going to treat her for Bar. But im gonna try the A-Bart first bc i know that stuff is strong. i want to see if she can handle it and then i will go to Buhner's bart protocol - and i will need some guidance on that. I have the list of herbs here, but i want to make sure i do it right! i will come back once i am ready!!

One final question - doe anyone think my cat may have anything to do with this?? is it at all possible that my daughter healed from lyme and bart 3 years ago and contracted bart again from our cat???

Has your daughter been bitten or scratched by your cat?

It's possible...is it an outdoor cat? (although indoor cats could also have it if they got it prior to entering your home)

I would say that yes, the cat could be implicated. Can you take your cat to the vet and ask for him/her to be tested for Bartonella? Fleas are the main culprit of passing Bartonella to cats, I believe.

Laurdicin is part of yeast/fungal protocols, isn't it? If so, I would encourage you to look into possible yeast/fungal issues either along with the Bart, or in place of it.
Just sharing some thoughts!

i dont quite know - maybe the cat can be tested for that? i will definitely find out. this cat is indoor outdoor. and when i saw the dr who treated me with magnetic therapy, he explained how he was Super against cats, and said that my hearing impairment could have been linked to toxoplasmosis or the sort bc i wasn't born with it. who knows, but still, i never forgot how he said how cats and dogs carry so many germs, you never know what you will end up with. that has bothered me since. and my daughter lays on the floor alot when she plays, and she always gets these infectious rashes on her belly or legs...

yes, leuricidin is awesome for candida, but it also acts as an antiviral. when my daughter got the last infectious rash, i panicked and gave her leuricidin plus the cats claw and japanese knotweed. i dont know which one cured it, but if i were to guess, it was the leuricidin and the other herbs helped along the way.

i dont think she has candida. i had them on a strict diet back when they had lyme and she only treated with amoxil for 3 months and although she was on herbs for 6 months after, she was on probiotics all the while. her tongue is nice and pink and does not complain about anything else. candida would not be responsible for an infectious rash - but thanks for the thought anyways traveler!!

And yet, some doctors encourage the home to have pets because they will help children deal with germs better - not to mention the benefit of just having pets in the house.

But, your daughter may have sensitivities (or out right allergies) to the cat or dog (if you have one). Has she been tested for animal allergies? I had allergic reactions every time my last cat rubbed on me, particularly around my face. She had Bartonella, but I didn't realize it. If she ever scratched or bit me for any reason (usually if I was trying to treat her for something), then it would get infected almost immediately, so I had to be careful to cleanse it and treat it quickly and watch it to be sure it was healing right.

With what you have said, I'd go back to the viral possibilities with your daughter though.

wow, ok. i actually have to take my oldest back to the lyme doctor bc i want her to get out of getting the meningitis shot that she needs for high school (he has his magic pen lol) - so i will see if he can test celine for anything at that point - anything you could recommend? if i were to guess she has bart (bc i also know that can be a false negative - she did not test positive for it 3 years ago), is there anything else i could test her for?

Chapelle - what lab did you have her tested for bartonella? Was it Igenex?

I would do one that specializes in tick-borne disease.....
Igenex...or Galaxy but (as you know) - the results may not show anything...which won't really mean anything...

Your cat popped into my head when bart was discussed - I remember talking about your cat awhile back. Wasn't he feral at one time? Or a rescue cat? Sorry if I've confused him w/ another cat.

The difference in "pets" and indoor/outdoor cats is that cats are hunters and are always messing around with birds, mice, who knows what else. So, the cat isn't just bringing itself home to the kids.

I'm pretty sure I picked up some strange fungal or viral thing that has manifested into a crazy, untreatable rash on my fingers from petting the neighbor's indoor/outdoor cat. I'm so terrified of infections I literally come inside and wash my hands afterwards. But there it is. Can't imagine anything else I've touched to cause it. I LOVE that cat so I guess I'll keep snuggling her.

girlie - no it wasnt igenex, i wasnt spending the money - i actually generated debt from myself and my 3 kids needing llmds and such. it was Expensive! LOL, if i knew igenex would surely tell me if she had bart i would have done it, but it just wasn't worth it since there are so many false negatives with coinfection tests

pirouette - i am so sorry if i was repetitive. you are right, i did bring up the cat once before on here - i actually forgot i did until you just reminded me!

yes she was a feral cat and then we took her in, brought her to the vet, had her blood tested, gave her shots, etc. and here we are 3 years later with her.

i gotta figure out if she may be part of the reason for this. bc if she is, i will gladly find a new home for her. but if not, i dont want the kids to go thru the heartache of losing her.

The meningitis vaccine caused my son to be sick for 4 months. His lymph nodes swelled up the next day, he felt spacey, started having twitching at bedtime, breathing and swallowing issues. I know meningitis is life threatening but nobody in my house will ever get that vaccine again. I had to file religious exemption bc no docs around here are willing to put their name on it. It was surprisingly easy - I was all ready to do battle!

I think Pirouette is right about the metals. They can cause problems with cholinergic receptors and muscle tone becomes an issue. Make sure their pupils look normal and start paying attention to pupil diameter. Pathogens of course make the metals worse by holding on to them and making them harder to eliminate. Eliminating the metals without getting rid of the pathogens is just spinning your wheels. You have to get rid of the pathogens and the metals will start coming out. Some will be sequestered in places where they want to stay, but for the most part, they can come out.

K07 - oh no! so sorry to hear that! yeah, my daughter is doing so well all i need is for her to get that stupid shot and then take a few steps backwards right before high school. No way.

But i heard when you file a religious exemption, it has to be for all of the shots, no?

thanks georgia - and pirouette, I think if anyone has a high level of metals, it may be me - where would it come from? maybe that is something i should get tested for.....

Heavy metals can come from the water we drink, or fillings, eating a lot of sea food, vaccinations apparently still contain mercury.

Metals are natural in our environment but when we for whatever reason take in more and on top of it have bacterial/viral loads to detox out of us every day, the combination can get to be too much to 'clear out' without some help.

I can't believe this!! I started Byron White A-Bart on my daughter on Sunday. She is up to 3 drops twice a day. I gave her a bath tonight and this is the first time in Months that there is no rash on her back. This has to be it, it has to be Bartonella!

Now the next question, I have no idea what dose to give her, there is no info on the byron white page, does anyone have any idea? i don't think many of you use these herbs - if I don't get a response, i will call the Dr who treated her initially. Hopefully he will have an answer.

Another big step in the right direction!!

oh and also, i stopped the leuricidin and started her on probiotics. The probiotic and cats claw and JKW combo has been keeping her bed dry for 2 weeks now. When i stopped the leuricidin, she wet it, but when i replaced it with probiotics, she was dry.......

Next step - to test the cat. The Bartonella could be coming from the cat and/or it could be leftover from when she was initially sick 3 years ago.

These four have individualized dosing schedules that will vary in relation to the response of the individual. There is no set dose with these products. The practitioner needs to work with the patient to understand this adjustable dosing concept.

External Uses
