It's awesome that you posted. Your journey is familiar to a lot of us. You can't write fiction that is harder to believe than the reality that so many of us live.
Right now, I'm doing IV abx for Lyme and bart and a few Beyond Balance tinctures (after using other tinctures and protocols successfully and unsuccessfully) including MC-BB-2 for Lyme, MC-BAB-2 and 3 for babs, IMN-V-I and II for viral loads, MC-BFM-1 for biofilms and Tox-Ease.
I REALLY like them. I worked up to high doses fairly easily but don't rush it - it's important not to overwhelm the body.
I recommend starting with a questionnaire that helps you organize your symptoms and categorize them into possible causes by Lyme & coinfections - will also be tremendously helpful to an LLMD. Check it out here:
www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=30&m=3673749&g=3673789#m3673789The list also helps you prioritize what might be the most dominant infection or what your immune system is struggling most with, based on the symptoms you're experiencing.
A couple other suggestions -
Immune system
When you've reached a chronic stage after years going untreated (effectively) there are many ways in which your immune system can become challenged. No magic treatment, combination of herbs or antibiotics, works without the support of your immune system so sometimes people start or recalibrate an unsuccessful treatment by focusing on the immune system.
One place to start is gut health - 70% of your immune function is within the mucosal lining of your GI tract. If the lining is damaged, you can have trouble with absorption and digestion - nearly all of our Lyme & co treatment (and of course our daily sustenance) is taken orally to be digested so if this is compromised, you'll be spending a lot of time, money and effort and not make enough progress.
Helping GI to heal can also reduce some of your GI symptoms. One major factor of GI distress is yeast/fungal overgrowth—the symptoms caused by it as well as the damage it can cause to the mucosal lining, which can lead to "leaky gut" and further GI problems. I recommend you start healing your GI with an anti fungal approach - lots more about
it here:
www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=30&m=1606610&g=3644275#m3644275Healing the GI also includes focus on diet and there's info in that thread about
that, as well. A lot of posters here do variations of "candida diets" and other gut-healing diets so that's always a good discussion.
Something else to consider is what else might be challenging your immune system like high viral loads.
And as was previously mentioned, your best bet is to find an LLMD to work with - to help you confirm your diagnoses and devise a treatment protocol.
Hope this is helpful -
