Test results Igenix

I just got my Lyme test results back . I came back positive on band 31, 41, 58 and Indeterminate on band 39, so my Igenix test came back on western blot IGM as Indeterminate , not negative or positive?
I also tested positive on HGA IFA - IGM for Ehrlichiosis co-infection.
My Lyme Literate doctor said he was treating based on symptoms and not blood work.
Do I have Lyme if a couple bands say positive? This is so confusing. I am with a LLMD doctor and I cant get a real sense if I have Lyme or not. Any feedback is appreciated. I am on day 23 of doxycycline and I don't see any improvment.

The indeterminate on band 39 is more than enough to confirm that you really do have Lyme. Band 39 is Lyme specific - meaning that nothing else will 'trigger' it to respond, and the indeterminate results only means that the Lyme is not allowing your body to produce enough antibodies for it to be 'fully positive'. This is a very common issue with these tests.

As Purrrsiankitty asked, will your LLMD be adding another abx to the Doxy? Doxy alone is not enough to treat these infections, unless it's caught within the very beginning stages of the infections - in other words, no symptoms except maybe the rash.

Also, what dose of Doxy are you on? If it's below 300 mgs a day, it's likely not doing you much good.

Have you told your doctor that you haven't had any improvements? If the plan is to add more abx soon, it may still be all in his/her plan, but it helps if you know that plan as well.

Yes you have lyme.

With band 31 and 41 - you can have an Epitope test done...it confirms band 31 is from borrelia ...and then will change the IND to a Positive.
(You don't need to do this...but some people want that positive result on paper)

Don't wait too long - they only hang on to the sample for so long (can't remember if its two weeks?)
