Appointment with LLND

It's been almost there years since I was diagnosed with Lyme. In that time, I've had a couple of LLMD's. The first had a lot more experience, but he retired a couple of months into my treatment. I wanted to like his replacement because he was very encouraging and enthusiastic about treating Lyme. Unfortunately, he just couldn't figure out how to help me. At my last appointment with him, he basically said, "I feel like you're okay," despite all kinds of symptoms I'm still having.

So today I had my first appointment with the LLND who works in the same practice. I wish I would have done this years ago! He practices applied kinesiology and found that I still have Lyme, along with adrenal fatigue and ADD. The thing I found most interesting was that he said my Lyme can't be killed effectively until I work on healing my immune system. So all these years of trying to kill my Lyme have sort of been a waste. He did something similar with my son's treatment, and it seemed effective. I'm feeling cautiously optimistic and am long overdue for a new approach.

Ha! No muzzle was necessary for me - I was dumbfounded! I never would have expected to hear a LLMD say the equivalent of "you don't look sick."

Awww, good you found someone you can work with!! It sure makes for a nicer appointment.

So I started the supplement the ND gave me to help my immune system, and after about three days, I had a noticeable herx, with joint pain in all of the normal places and also in my knees, where I don't recall having any Lyme pain (at least in the past 20 years). I haven't even started taking the supplement he gave me to kill the Lyme yet, so I'm excited to think that my own immune system is improving enough to kill some of this garbage on its own!

That's a good reminder! I did break out the Alka Seltzer Gold, which I hadn't used in a while, but I need to get back on the wagon with dry skin brushing, ACV, and castor oil packs. I've been a little lazy with them lately!

I'm just curious, what was the supplement that the doctor gave you? Was it lauricidin/monolaurin?
