Desperately need a LLMD in Switzerland, Germany, France

I have Lyme in last stage, and was never treated. my health is deteriorating day by day, and I desperately need an LLMD who can treat me, ideally in a clinic, or hospital setting, because I am too sick to treat myself at home.
Please help me out.

Welcome to the forum! I also live in Switzerland (German speaking part) and I've been treating for Lyme, Bartonella, Babesia, Chlamydia pneumoniae, Mycoplasma pneumoniae and other staff for quite a while now...

I'm afraid, but the knowledge about this disease is extremely poor in Switzerland and most often also in other surrounding countries. If you really would like to go to some clinic first, I would probably go to the "Borreliose Centrum Augsburg Clinic" in Germany (http://www.bca-clinic.de). I have no personal experience with this clinic, though.

If you would like to visit doctors in Switzerland later on, you could also have a look at the following list. (Traveler removed this link to protect those doctors.) I only know 2 out of the 8 mentioned doctors in Switzerland in person (and have heard of at least 2 more). Thereof, nr 1 in Bern is most recommended - at least if you "only" have lyme. Generally, most of the lyme specialists in Europe might be somewhat familiar with the treatment of lyme, but have got no clue about other potential co infections or other relevant medical conditions that could interfere with the treatment of lyme disease.

What kind of symptoms do you have and since when? Have you "only" been diagnosed with lyme or do you also have other co infections?

@never-give-up I also live in the german part, no LLMD, very few infectiologists and no single one of them with any knowledge of lyme or co-infections. I also have a few: rickettsia, ehrlichia, Yersinia and viruses (EBV, Varricela). I know the famous Hopf-Seidel list, but it does not help much. I have thought of the SeeGarten Klinik in Kilchberg, but they only offer hyperthermia.

@blueberrymuffin Yes, I called them - they only do all kind of methods, but no abx, I'm afraid I do need abx and I want to be in a hospital.

It is unbelievable how Lyme patients are marginalized and left out of the medical system. I really do not know what to do.

Please try contacting Klinghardt's office (Seattle, WA) and as for a reference in Germany or somewhere near you. He is very well known here but his office should have some contacts and should be able to help.

If not let us know and we'll keep trying. We have had Western European members here and I am pretty sure they have mentioned seeing a specialist.

Thank you Magoo2 but I am in bad shape and cannot stay at a hotel and go to all those treatments. I need medical care, in a hospital, unfortunately.

If you are looking for treating Lyme and co in a hospital, don't hold your breathe. That doesn't happen often at all, even if it were to happen a hospital really cannot offer any drugs an LLmd can give you(if you can find one).

My doctor here in the US trained at the Parecelsus klinik. My treatment at the clinic in the US has been leaps and bounds better than anything a hospital or MD could offer.

My doc was able to tell me what the actual root cause was, not just that my immune system was low and bacteria could get away from it.
Not once in my treatment did I ever get sicker than I was before treatment.

Several other members here have been to or had experience with the clinic here in the US(though it is not affiliated with the PK).

Don't discount alternative medicine, I didn't respond to antibiotics at all. Traveler had to go alternative because that was the only option left after a while.

Paracelsus has a small hotel and they are used to helping patients who are very sick.
Call and ask about it before giving up

I think the only chance to get ABx treatment in a hospital is if you have neuroborreliosis, as defined by the neurologists. Unfortunately, this is nearly never the case. But if you have severe neurological problems, you could try to get a lumbal puncture and see if you belong to the few lucky ones who test positive. If this is the case, you could get 3 weeks ceftriaxon in hospital.

You might also ask in the german forum http://forum.onlyme-aktion.org/index.php for help. Maybe you can get a better response there.

A neighbour who lived in the same village as me when I lived in Germany is healed/in remission since being referred to Mainz Klinik in Germany. He is 76 and is now symptom free !!!

Yellow Cat: It looks like this is exactly the same situation in my country (France). This whole thing is incredible in 2017... One day, people will look back and understand how absurd this is to let people suffer that way... I was just wondering if any country would treat their patients differently (northern Europe, Swizerland, etc...).
