band 41

In all honesty, it's very difficult to read anything definitive into any band reaction - historical or present. Sorry, people want information - I know, I've been there. But the immune response to Bb is just too unreliable, as are the tests.

Our bodies are dynamic - changing every day, particularly during illness and treatment. In theory, however, this is how I would interpret the changes:
- Band 41 cross-reacts to other bacteria, including dental bacteria which is pretty common in people. You can investigate the other bacteria Band 41 response might represent - just google it. So this reaction could be due to some other bacterial growth occurring in your body
- Or it could be due to changes because of bacterial death by immune response, or by abx.

I had a negative ELISA then I took Olive Leaf Extract for 4-6 wks and produced a CDC positive IGeneX, positive Fry Labs for bart-like. But 3 yrs later, I took a DNA Connexions urine test, which couldn't find anything. NOTHING. We were looking for something else, not Lyme or bart so I don't care much but there are a lot of stories shared about migrating band results.

Treatment will cause things like Lyme bacteria to lower in number so that the immune system has a better chance at responding. It's not tied to band 41, but that band is the most common one to show up.

I had zero bands show up as positive or IND the first time I took the Western Blot, yet after a year of treatments, I was fully CDC positive. Some have been able to get fully CDC positive results by taking things like Olive leaf extract (as Pirouette did), or oil of oregano, or other antibacterials and some even have a deep tissue massage that have helped them get a positive result.
