someone told me about kangen water. 

Does anyone have a water filter sys. at home that makes water alakline?

if so , what brand? do you feel better?

I have bought some kind of alakline water from a local health food store, and it geniunely tasted better, although to go out and buy water every week, or 2x a week, I am not going to do that

extra work, and expense, yet, for a litle while, I could try a at home sys...

I use the water. It is the only water i drink. I go to a store that has the machine and sells the water. I bring my own gallon containers. The machine is very expensive to buy. They charge $2.50 a gallon. You can mix the water with filtered water at home to maybe to extend it. I heard that it will alkalize regular water by adding alkaline water. Hope this helps. LaLa

You don't need to buy alkaline water, you can just put lemons or limes in your water and that alkalizes it. There are also alkaline drops you can buy (PH drops) and put that in your water. I occasionally buy the alkaline water they sell at Whole Foods but it occurred to me that they come in plastic bottles which leech chemicals into the water so what is the point of paying for that? Hope this helps!

What is that? Where do you buy it and how much does it cost? The store I was getting my water from just moved to a location further from me so now it's a big inconvenience.

Personally, I don't bother with it, as I think there's bigger bang for less buck - namely eating more fruits and vegetables, drinking sufficient amounts of clean water, getting more rest, and all the other things we inherently know to be true.

A quick test just now performed: Ph

Tap water (well water through a standard softener) 7.4

RO de-ionized water 6.8

2oz tap water with lemon squeeze 4.4

Braggs acv (w/mother) 3.3

My LLDO runs a video screen with helpful health hints, one of which is to take acv; that the metabolites are alkaline, but that the acidity of a cup of coffee will remove "x" grams of bone to neutralize the acid in it. My coffee is 7.2 Ph.

My question is (and has been) how does an acid - citric in lemon, acetic in acv, become alkaline in the environment of hydrochloric acid present in the stomach? Two acids do not create either a salt or a base.

Anyone wish to educate me?

The body maintains a very tight control over pH. If it goes too high or too low, we croak. So, wouldn't any temporary manipulation of pH be futile?

Quite true, pH is one condition that is very tightly regulated. There has been some corroborating evidence that eating/drinking a more alkaline source is less stressful to the body's efforts to maintain pH control. Of course that was from the CDC. What do they know?
