I wouldn't worry too much about the cd57..it's not that reliable.

But, the fact that you've plateaued and your Dr says to keep doing what you're doing - that wouldn't sit well with me.

How long have you been plateaued on this protocol?

What is in the MaxPara?
I'm wondering if you actually have a good enough protocol for fighting these infections.

"mainly ok" - what does that mean? Not sure I'd want to hear that from my LLMD.

yeah, he seems to have me on a lot of antiparastic type stuff, which I strongly reacted to at first-- massive bloating for a month. In the past when I tried to do antiparastic cleanses (before Lyme DX), I got bad bloating, so I do suspect that's a problem for me.

I guess it's hard for me to say if I'm really plateauing or not.

My story: I started having "MS-like" symptoms about 5 years ago - right after I took an antibiotic for bacterial vaginosis (lady infection). A few years before that, I was accidentally tested for Lyme when I lived in NYC and was IGM positive (bands 23 and 39) and IGG indeterminate. A gyno ordered the test by accident. I figured it was a mistake since I had no symptoms and I lived in NYC and I read lyme tests are terrible. I had other life stuff going on at the time and just wrote it off- that was clearly a mistake. A few years after the accidental lyme-test, my symptoms started tingling/aching, fatigue, visual issues, dizziness, and chronic yeast infections/rashes, etc. The symptoms started at the same time as my candida isseus, which I choked up to the antibiotic I had taken for BV recently. In retrospect, I think the flagyl stirred up the dormant lyme and other crap. Anyway, about a year after my symptoms started, I went on a strict anti-candida diet because of the yeast problems. I am talking STRICT -- like I really deprived myself. I did the diet for 3 years (2012-2015) and felt miserable and sick the whole time. I got really depressed and very obsessive about my health. However, the lyme/MS-like symptoms didn't flare up that much when I went on teh diet -- maybe 1-2 bad flares (for a few days to a week, a year). I was also taking biocidin on/off at the time from a naturopath I found that I was working with long distance. He didn't know about the lyme, but figured I had a lot of bad bacteria, yeast, and parasites. I am guessing this is why my flares were few and far between. I also tend to flare up only in the spring and fall -- and mostly in teh fall. With that said, I was DXed with lyme after a "flare" last fall, and have been treating for the last 6 months. I feel like I have made progress in ways, like with the yeast, and just feeling better and happier and more alive in general, but I can tell I'm not there...I have ear congestion issues, still get yeasty sometimes (which I mostly keep at bay with antifungals), and have been having some food sensitivities. I just ate a piece of pizza last weekend and my stomach is a mess. I also have had some tingling here and there (mild) in my arms, which makes me think I'm not all better.

I should point out I do not have MS-- I was OVER tested for it to the extreme, and my symptoms, I'm told don't match MS...everyone on the MS board told me it's not my problem but that I may have something like Lyme but I was married to it at the time. Thank god I saw the light and realized that I may have something other than that given what they were telling me and all the negative mris, etc.

Anyway, Mostly I am worried that he's not fully treating me because I read there are certain things people take for lyme- cats claw, etc, and none of those things are included. Perhaps he's going after co-infections, but I'm surprised he's not using traditional treatments.

I may just do that. I was thinking about the LB tonic, since it's an all in one. Think that's ok or do I need to add 1 at a time?
