I am curious, and would like to hear of any positive experiences using essential oil alongside Lyme & Co's treatment protocols?

Is it worth the expense?

There are people who report that it has helped them heal.

I use them, but not as a treatment for lyme and co's.


I have a tick spray with essential oils.

I also use EO - lavender and marjoram in my epsom salt baths - for nerve pain.

I practically bathe in thieves to protect from regular people sicky...
i have herxed from oil of oregano in a goat milk bath . I put 1 drop in my nasal spray with silver and zylatol and gse ...

i have used clove oil topically for bart with dmso it was a little hurty. My nee venom creme has eo in it . And peppermint has helped headaches and lavender has helped me wean zanax .

there is the lyme bomb recipe i have but i have not injested them as i have been on abx or herbs ..may revisit it soon ...one grapefruit blend did react with sun and skin ...it can be powerful medicine

I use Oil of Oregano and rub it on my spine or head or wherever hurts. I also take it internally. It helps to reduce pain, pressure and inflammation. When I first started using it, I herxed really badly from just one drop.

I'm curious about the herxs on oregano oil..... think that happens because you're positive for molds?

ooo hits many things , upon microscopy and testing i am most positive for bartonella

I do have a problem with molds but like bluelyme said, ooo hits many things. The oil is effective against bacteria, viruses and fungi. I only herxed in the very beginning when I first started using the oil.

My Lyme behaves like Meningitis, so when stiff neck, spine pain, and migraine shows up, that's when I slather the hurting areas with Burt's Bees Hand Salve (which contains EOs that work for me). Also use Oil of Oregano (P73). Add 3 baby aspirin and I'm good as new in about 1/2 hour!

I have used essential oils for years. But when I got lyme, I was very hesitant to ingest the oils. I went with herbs.

I have used along with my herbs many of the EOs. Some for head pain, some for muscle aches, but a couple for sleep. Dream Catcher is awesome for sleepless night for me. Lavender is what hubby spritzes on his pillow at night.

During the winter I bath with lavender and in the summer I bath in peppermint. One for warming and one for cooling.

I think EOs can be a great compliment to a lyme protocol, but I don't think I have read of anyone healing with EOs only.

I 'accidentally' discovered that Thieves oil helped my nerve pain in my heel when I apply it to my feet. I was desperate and was ready to try anything for a bit of relief, and was amazed at how well it worked for me and that heel pain.

I have not tried any other EO's though.

I know one lady that had these infections for decades and tried everything she could to heal, yet nothing was really giving her any healing. So, she figured she had nothing to loose by trying EO's and they are what helped her to get her life back. She's doing well now as long as she keeps up the EO's.

This is probably a dumb question but is Oil of oregano and Oregano essential oil the same thing? I'm sure everyone has their favorite, but what brand is good? If been buying Eden's Garden, it's kinda middle of the line on price.

I love my essential oils! I use them for things like:

- helping me sleep
- pain management
- immune support
- digestive support
- respiratory support

They work amazingly well for me! I don't use them as part of my treatment, but more for symptom management. I find them very useful!

As for oregano EO and oil of oregano, I'm not positive, but I recall reading that they are not the same thing.

I've been lots of different essential oils in last 9 months, they are very effective against many pathogens including lyme bacteria, I experienced huge herxing just from oils alone. The best is to make dilution of few of them and put it on your skin, it gets absorbed pretty well directly to the bloodstream so there is no need to eat oils. There are some people over there who say they healed from lyme using mostly essential oils so it's worth a try

My acupuncturist was recommending oils today. Eucalyptus, peppermint, lavender. She said to use in bath or on skin. Lavendar on pillow is supposed to help sleep. I have lavender but not the others. I think maybe worth a try.

Yes I use mainly DoTerra oils. They help with a variety of issues which others have said. I use them on the kids too when necessary.

1000Daisies, I don't think you see benefits of Lyme/virals with EOs unless ingested (as I'm told). The frogs guy out in Frederick, MD believes highly in EOs for a variety of Lyme related issues.
