BUHNER!! WHICH BOOK?

He has several books. Most people seem to talk about second edition but that edition also says it is for chlamydia and spotted fever. I don't believe that I have those co infections. Is this book still the one to use?

It depends on which infection you wish to read about/treat.

He has a Lyme and RMSF book, a Bart and Myco book, and a Babesia, Anaplasma and Ehrlichia book - plus many other books. In each book he goes into great detail about how the bacteria acts, the actions of the herbs and how to help control symptoms, as well as treating the infection.

So if you wish to read/treat Lyme, you would want his second edition (more information and extended protocols) of his 'Healing Lyme' book.

That was the book I was originally thinking to get but then I noticed the co infections too and I dont think I have those. I am not sure what co infection I might have but most of my symptoms are head pressure, tingling on top of head, neck pain, some lightheadedness, gastro issues, feeling off balance and some minor aches and pains. Sometimes air hunger too. I know there are other things but these are the things that pop into my head off the top.

I have treated over the years with different meds and supplements but nothing is doing the trick. I thought I would try the Buhner protocol.

I have hesistated because something tells me it is going to be overwhelming to self treat and to figure it out without a doctor but for the price of the book it is probably worth a try.

I bought his 2nd edition because it DID include a good section on RMSF, which I tested pos for. But I barely refer to it, I use it primarily for his updated Lyme protocol, as well as his extended protocol for specific symptoms....and the extensive breakdown he has of the different herbs.

It was only $15 so at that price a person could afford 2 or 3 more.

When I bought it I could barely read because my lyme brain was so bad. I self treated myself without a doctor. So if I can do it, you can do it.

I just went straight to Chapter 8 and did the core protocol. There are many that heal completely with just doing the core protocol as it also can sometimes hit any co infections you might have.

The air hunger and neck pain can also be signs of Babesia and RMSF, though RMSF usually has a pretty traumatic infection event associated with it.

There have been quite a few threads on Dr. R. He basically uses Buhner's protocols from what I understand, but presents it differently.

I love how Dr. Rawls thinks. I love his easy to read book, Unlocking Lyme.

Dr. Rawls had lyme and healed himself with basically Stephen Buhner's core protocol.

He then went on to make Vital Plan, which are herbs for lyme disease. I am not thrilled with people making money off of lyme, but if you are into herbs, I guess it is the same as buying them individually. And, I am a super fan of Beyond Balance, which is the same thing basically, just different ingredients.

I really recommend his book to many people that I am in contact with in my area for understanding lyme. I think it is extremely helpful to know who you are fighting before you go to war.
