YEAH! Lyme literate Dr. in Chinese Medicine!

Yeah! He took time to read over my symptom list thoroughly. I told him the naturopath had given me a clinical diagnosis, he asked about the blood work, and I told him the IDD indicated because my Western Blot was negative, then no lyme, I told him it was Pacific Labs, and he said, the only lab to send to is IGEN-X, he said it was important to rule out everything because lyme is the "great imitator", and I discussed how Parkinsons disease didn't match, and my MRI's being clean, so ruling out MS and Parkinsons too, and suggested looking at the list that I ask my Western Dr. for a gallbladder scan. That I could have some gallbladder disease going on. He has treated Lyme patients and said he had a few that were bed-ridden when they came to him. That they are very smart organisms, and you have to sneak up on them a bit, and he has found switching what you use to treat them. He asked if I "herxed" on Cats Claw, and I told him about my herx with the anti-biotic. My tongue showed imbalance, and my pulse was weak and thin. He had some diagnostic tool up and asked me questions about heat and flushing, digestion, other things. For now I am going to discontinue the Buhner herbs and he wants me to start slow, and do a very small amount, to avoid herxing.

Cool! It was just so good to have a positive experience after the downers of the IDD and the frustration with the spouse. Now that I've drawn the boundary, you stay out of my health, and I will stay out of yours - this should help. Okay - here goes...gonna translate them.

Important to note that this was drawn up based on my symptom list, my pulse, my tongue. With Chinese medicine, I am sure one would need support from a Dr. to get it right.

If you don't have one - Buhner's protocol got me off to a GREAT kickstart.

Also - in hindsight - I am glad I gave him the exhaustive symptom list rather than the symptoms of the day - since they can come and go. Good job intuition!

Bumping this because there was a question about Chinese herbs that came to me. I didn't bookmark this and wanted to bump it up to be found more easily in the present flow. My CMD, unfortunately was murdered shortly after I started working with him, and I tried another CMD, which didn't work out for me. I'd recommend anyone interested in this approach to following through with your intuition with regard to seeking support from Chinese Medicine. When gravely ill, gosh, I tell you, I personally trust ancient knowledge a lot. It is what worked for me, which may not work for you or others. The key is, trust your own sense, your body will let you know! Dr. Z. in New York treats lyme and co-infections. His herbs are pricey, but I definitely got benefit from them. My first CMD was the one everyone went to when western Dr.'s gave up on people. He had so many success stories!

he uses houttynia and allcin which is pretty strong dose is like almost 500mg 3x a day between that and the oil of oregano i smell like pizza no offense peteza..on it now and its denting bart .
tu fu ling is maybe smilax which is a very good antispirochetal
also chinese clats claw helped with my twitch .the cordyalis was very good for pain and i chew raw licorice for bp all the time .
decoctions are fun .i add reishi and self heal to all my stuff .buhner is only the tip of the ice berg of the herbal world .
