After seeing mention of CBD oil here, I decided to look into it more. Previously, all my reading had me worried about
purchasing. I went to an un-named forum and asked some questions. A moderator then messaged me and basically told me it was safe to order, for now.
So I purchased BlueBird Botanicals Hemp Classic 6X, which is a concentrate. I purchased a 2oz bottle which includes 3000+mg of cannabinoids. What impressed me, is the company has what seems very strict quality control, and include a batch database on their website so you can verify the quality of your purchase. I went to the previous un-named forum and found a one time use discount code for 25% off, plus at checkout BlueBird offered a 10% discount for using echeck. This is an expensive item, so I took advantage of both discounts.
Today is my 3rd day taking the product. Suggested dose is 15 drops equaling 25mg+ cannabinoids, twice per day. 1st day I took 5 drops in the morning, 5 in the evening. To be honest, I really didnt feel anything, maybe a bit more calm. But I did sleep very well. 2nd day I increased the dose to 10 drops in the morning. This dose, I felt! Much more calm, not quite a light headed feeling, but more...uh, not sure if clear would be the correct term or not. I wasnt dizzy. I wasnt "high". Just felt like a weight was lifted of sorts. I could think clearer. But the biggest benefit I felt yesterday was, and I wasnt expecting it, a very good bowel movement. My bowel movements have been up and down, my intestinal issues have been one of my biggest concerns. I bloat quite easily, intestinal motility of very very slow. This slow motility, according to my LLMD, is a direct result of how Lyme and Bart have attacked my nervous and endocrine system, specifically thyroid disease(Hashimotos) and the vagal nerve(which initially caused many symptoms from a shocking sensation, palpitations, high and low blood pressure, low stomach acid, etc etc).
Ill be honest, and hopefully its not TMI, but this was the best bowel movement I have had since I got sick in spring 2014. It felt normal, yet at the same time absolutely amazing! You have to go through these symptoms to understand. I then took and evening dose of 10 drops also. I slept like a baby, something again that I havent done in ages.
Today, 3rd day, I also took 10 drops this morning. Because I slept so good, and so much(14 hrs last night) I missed breakfast. I THINK due to missing breakfast my blood sugar felt a little low( I didnt test) which caused some very mild anxiety. I did take a xanax, just to ward off a panic attack if one would happen. Hopefully the CBD wasnt the cause for the mild anxiety, but I guess we'll find out as the days progress.
As this is a concentrate, the substance is very thick. Not molasses thick, but close. Taste is subjective, but I find it very appealing. It tastes like a fresh cut hay field. Some might find that unappealing, but growing up on a farm, it was like picking hay and sucking on it, something ive done many times.
My schedule is kind of hectic, but given time id like to update my experience here when I can. Thus far it hasnt put a dent in my joint pain, muscle weakness, or multitude of other issues. But it seems to be having a positive effect on my intestinal issues. Id say pain wise, my intestinal pain has dropped by 50%. Fluke? Maybe, but I havent changed my diet as of yet so I could tell exactly what CBD is doing. Again, no changes whatsoever besides adding CBD so I can tell how my body is reacting.
Just want to add that I was told by this moderator of the un-named forum one of the most profound attributes of this specific brand of CBD and product was how it positively affects IBS, IBD, Crohns and UC. I honestly think I am seeing just that at this point in time. And if thats the case, its well worth the price.
I am not up on all the terminology, but these products contain something called terpenes. The main terpene in this product is Caryophyllene. Here is a link to this terpenes benefits...
theleafonline.com/c/science/2014/10/terpene-profile-caryophyllene/So far, I am impressed. Hopefully it isnt a fluke.
PS...I would put the price I paid, but am unsure if thats proper here, also the name if the un-named forum. Thanks and hopefully you enjoyed.
