It's actually quite common for GP's and other doctors to not recognize these symptoms as Lyme and company, so you will need to find an ILADS trained LLMD to help you treat these infections.

You will want to find an ILADS trained doctor, as ID Docs (Infectious Disease Doctors) as well as many others, believe Lyme is hard to catch and easy to treat, and don't believe in the reality of chronic Lyme. High anyways and I don't remember a bullseye rash.. Doctors say I'm a mental case and I'm stressed but anybody who is sick is going to stress to some degree especially when you are a man and is expected to do all the manly things your wife has no idea how to do... I have the twitching in various parts of my body.. I'm wondering if anyone with lymes has the muscle wasting in those areas.. Another symptom is testical pain with testical tube swelling, it comes and goes... As do most of my symptoms.. The places I notice atrophy, they will pulsate and vibrate at times and when I touch these areas I get this crazy sensation in my throat /lung/ teeth and eyes.. And I seen to have a white substance appear on my tongue, it feels like it's coming out of my pores in my mouth and around my teeth and I get this nasty taste in my mouth.. Think it may be infection coming out through my glands or its thrush.. I've researched and idk if these symptoms are more likely caused by als or lymes.. Also I have cracking tendons with pain and my nose has a pain in it like it has a bump in it.. My inner ear also gets this thinking vibrating that only lasts a few seconds.. Just to add I have experienced some of my symptoms since I was 16 out so I'm 28... I've had heart palpitations when one of these attacks happen too, it's like I'm about to have great attack, then it just stops beating almost... Like from extreme high pulse to extreme low... Sometimes I get this crazy sensation like a switch turns off and I feel better all of the sudden, like I get my strength back.. This does seem progressive, but it will stop fit a couple weeks and then crank back up... Sometimes it stops for days then cranks back up.. Oh and I feel heat in my abdomen and my back areas where I have muscle wasting.. I know I'm all over the place but that's how I feel lol.. This does no justice in how I actually feel over all, but you get the point I guess.. Just need some people that listen and don't try to rationalize with common illnesses like my family are doing.. Any opinions are welcome thanks to you all! If anyone wants anymore info or the whole deal in my case lmk and I'll elaborate..

Traveler has given you some good information...please seek out a LLMD.
In the meantime - do the Horowitz questionnaire and see what your score is.

One of my first symptoms was in the scapula area - it was sudden onset for me...and caused excruciating pain...left shoulder blade area/left arm/left hand. I ended up with frozen shoulder and muscle wasting on the left side of my upper body.
Since treating lyme and bartonella, it has improved a lot...range of motion is good...strength is better. Still having trouble with the muscles in the shoulder blade area.

Hi girlie, I almost started crying when I read your reply... This is very hard for me.. I was just released from prison 3 weeks ago (didn't think I was gonna make it) but I did and I feel like I have a chance now.. I have to find a doctor that is experienced with lymes.. I'm going to try to talk gp into neologist appointment too it's just I don't have insurance and I can't work.. I am trying every bit of money I come up with goes towards testing.. And any idea of how come it just flared up all of the sudden.. Symptoms have always been mild but in March they just went crazy.. I was bitten by something and I was exposed to pigeons and bugs from them and there fecies.. Maybe lymes is spread by more than just ticks. Maybe I was exposed a second time if this is lymes than you fit the replies

No I haven't been tested for lymes.. I'm still in process of diagnosis of this illness.. Doctors I use ( my second cousin BTW) isn't very knowledgeable of lymes.. That plus how I act sometimes has gotten me a diagnosis of mental stress by my family and doctors.. Without even testing me thoroughly

You call them and order a test kit. They ship you one for free.

Then you get a Dr. to sign the lab req. Do you have one willing?

The tests you want (unless you're wanting to spend more $$) is the Lyme Western Blot IgM and IgG for $105 each = $210. I believe they are individual test #'s 188 and 189.

You can post here when you get the kit if you're not sure.

You take the signed lab req to a lab - or if the Dr.'s office can do a blood draw...then have them do it.
Then it gets shipped off via Fedex. That will cost you as well.

Do the blood draw on a Monday so Igenex gets the sample back before the week-end (don't want it sitting in the warehouse all weekend)

See my post above your last one...you are ordering the Test Kit - from Igenex - not a specific test.

Once you get the test kit, you check off the specific test you want done.

So, order the test kit - see the link I posted. Then you can come back on and ask us if you're not sure which ones to 'tick' off. (pardon the pun)

I don't know if it has been mentioned, Igenix is one of the most respected labs for accuracy but still misses the mark frequently.

Quest, the CDC recommended lab, has a horrible track record for testing. Many people are missed with the results this lab produces. It's ok for a free test that means nothing, but that's about it. If you get a positive with quest, you can stop there, unless you want testing other than Lyme.

When you get the test kit - you can ask for help here if you're unsure what to do.

Once you send the sample to Igenex - it's about 3 weeks before you get results back.
