Time for a change for me. Gulp!

Hi Yellow Cat! I will still be coming around, just not like before -I'll be more like a 'regular' member now. Boy that will be strange after being a mod for all but a few months of the 10 years I've been here! LOL!

For a while there I thought I was the only crybaby, but I see Girlie is one too! Traveler, I don't think you will ever know how much you have helped people. I will watch for your posts and updates on your forum, and please keep us updated. You have such a wealth of knowledge, I'm excited to see what's in store for you.

Honestly, I can't say I ever expected you to leave. As you said, you'll still be around, here and there, but at a much diminished level. It goes without saying, but things won't be the same. I don't mean to guilt trip you or anything, but the forum will suffer.

Thankfully, there's been an addition of a lot of nice, knowledgeable, active moderators over the past couple years. They're not Traveler, though. No offense to anyone, but, I'm sure most of them would admit themselves, you're like a mother figure around here. That's how you were to me, anyway.

Though, I totally understand. Life's had me really busy. I couldn't devote the amount of time necessary to be a consistently worthwhile contributor the forum. Halfhearted efforts at keeping my health afloat, while I attempt to juggle school and work. Plus, while I'm very driven, some days, I just want to be lazy. I wonder if it's the Lyme? Beside the point. But, yeah, it can be tough, finding a balance.

It's super sad, but I totally understand why a lot of people don't come around all that much, or leave entirely. For some, whose health has gotten better, it's a reminder. Their minds aren't on that wavelength anymore. For others, you just get busy.

Good thing about people like us is that, at least, we won't forget. I want to help too. I just need to save my own life first.

Anyway, we'll miss you. Hoping nothing but the best. Graduate and help people. Move to Washington (my dream locale after school), open a clinic, and hire me as a nurse.

Thanks for what you've done for the community, and for me, personally.

I feel like I'm losing my Mom! You watched over us and gave us loving advice, just like a Mother would do. You have never judged us and helped support and guide us through our darkest and hopeless moments.

You have put so much time and effort into helping so many people here. I THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!

You and your husband will be in my thoughts and prayers as he recovers from his surgery. He is very lucky to have you in his life.

Please Thank your husband for being so kind and patient for all the countless hours that you have spent helping so many people here.

I do wish you the very best with your schooling and becoming a Clinical Herbalist. I do hope that you can open your own place someday and help so many people like you did here.

I felt exactly like Little Bear at hearing the news, but, the truth is you helped so many of us , including me.New informations like MCAD, adrenal issues to be addressed, etc. you were always so kind to introduce them to all of us, and explain them if we could not appropietely understand, for our obvious reasons.

Also you are a wonderful mod because you have a very kind manner to reassure, help, inform and calm spirits down if anything happened between participants.

I do not ask questions so much because if I have a problem I usually look it up and surely find a thread that explains my herxing, usually, so I am always helped and really nobody knows.

I wish you all the best with your health, your husbands health and your career as a herbalist.

I will look forward to see you here now and then.

I've watched you on this site from when you first joined and wow, you have come a long way! I am so darn proud of you for all that you have learned and how you helped others.

You know that you hold a special place in my heart and being and that will never change.

I think it's great that you decided to move on as you put in your dues in this forum for so many years. You have gone beyond the call of duty as far as helping others.

Traveler - First, hope all goes very well for you and your husband. Will be hoping and praying things move in good directions.

While I know you will not be "totally gone," you will be missed. But family responsibilities are critical. And will come visit you on your site you have built.

Don't even know you, but we all know your heart. And it's a good one.

Thank you Traveler for all you have done here on this forum. Your daily post have been helpful to many, and all the helpful advice you have given over 10 years that is still in the archives, I find to be even more helpful. You have personally welcomed hundreds of members to the forum and have had at least SOME response to threads that may have gone unanswered and this type of support is very valuable and appreciated by many who are still here and others who have moved on. Most every search that I do on this sites archives turns up one of your posts, with much helpful info that you have posted over 10 years. We certainly wish you the best going forward, and we know you'll be back from time to time, just not responding to nearly EVERY single post over as you have over the last 2 years since I have been here. I know I will check out the new forum, and hopefully you can come back and inspire us all with a full complete success story of your own, and gain new information from others to share. Personally, for me you helped to define what the HW Lyme site really is and honestly it's hard to imagine it without you. That being said, This is one lady that deserves a break. Just some quick math Traveler has been here for 10 years and has over 35,000 posts. Thats basically 10 posts every single day over a 10 year period! That is a lot of consistency and a lot of dedication to help others. If only more doctors and scientist shared these same type virtues to truly try to help people, we probably would have conquered these diseases long ago. Anyway thanks again for all you've done here and everyone on here will have to work to pick up the slack. We will have some big shoes to fill to keep this community as helpful as it has been, and hopefully we can rack our brains to bring in some new information from different perspectives to help people struggling with these diseases, as there seems to be so little help out there when it comes to Lyme and coinfections. Thanks again for all your help, advice, and well wishes to all of us over the years. I hope you enjoy your 'mod retirement' you definitely earned it.
