New tick bite

NO!!! I don't have one, but I was just wondering.....

if one gets a tick bite and is infected with Lyme, babs, bart and/or any combination of confections, does the doxy regimine for the 4 week period after a bite treat all possible confections as well as lyme?

Well, the treatment guidelines only call for 4 weeks of abx and it is mono therapy. I know many people who have taken that amount only and never developed any other symptoms.

So, I guess if you get it early - the one antibiotic will cover it. Maybe because your immune system hasn't suffered from having a chronic lyme case?

But, generally, yes - it is one antibiotic that people take when treating a tick bite.

Oh thank goodness you don't have a new tick bite. I was scared there for a moment.

According to eva sapi doxy alone creates 200% more cysts ...if i were a duc i would do doxy ,tinadazole and rifampin to cover protozoal and gram negative. ..or at least andrographis ,artminsin and houttynia...

But, with a new tick bite - you're not going to get all those abx from a Dr....unless you can get in to a LLMD on very short notice.

And a regular Dr. won't give you those - since the guidelines don't support it....
