You will need to enable your email to receive recommendations, as we don't share names in public places in order to protect our doctors.

Go to 'my profile' (link right next to the log off/on button), then go to 'edit my profile'. Enter your email address, then scroll down a touch and click 'show my email' and then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the 'submit' button.

May I please have the list as well? I live in Austin, Texas and I believe that I recently came into contact with ticks. I have had a bug bite without a rash on the side of my body and have recently also been suspected of having viral meningitis. I would like to have a discussion about Lyme disease with a doctor as soon as possible!

Hello - so glad to see there is already a conversation about Lyme Disease and finding a LLMD in Austin Texas. I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease after lab work and have been referred to a doctor who is supposed to be a specialist in Lyme. However, 1.) I cannot get in to see this doctor, due to their busy schedule for another 2 weeks. 2.) He does not accept any health insurance. I am covered by a great policy, but cannot use it to see this doctor. I have already paid by credit card, my "down payment" just to be able to schedule the appointment in two weeks.

I would appreciate receiving "the list" of Austin, TX Lyme Literate physicians! I was recently diagnosed with a severe reactivation of EBV. Then, two weeks later received the positive diagnoses of Lyme Disease based on blood work. (all the physical, psychological, neurological symptoms have been present and getting worse).

Any assistance and/or advice is greatly appreciated.

I am the OP of this threas. Please enable your email, and I will send you a list of the LLMDs in Austin. But honestly, 2 weeks is not a long wait at all. Many LLMDs have waiting lists months, or even years, long. Also, none of the LLMDs in Austin take insurance. I only know of 2 in all of Texas that take insurance. One is in Houston. The other is in Arlington, and he's not taking new patients at all.

Hi there, I am new to this site. I am looking for an LLMD in Austin, or surrounding area. I am currently on Doxycycline (400 mg/day) for a suspected Lyme. I had a target rash, but never saw anything. My sister has Lyme, so I wanted to take caution. But now I am having reactions to the Doxy (anxiety, depression, trouble sleeping, upset tummy). I think I can bear the symptoms as my fear of getting Lyme is greater, but I'd like to consult with someone to see......Thank you!

It sounds like maybe the symptoms you are having could be a herx rather than side effects of the doxy.

Is this a recent infection?

They have members that seem to offer recommendations when someone asks.
