Which Igenex test?

Hi everyone,

I just received the Igenex packet. I noticed on the form since I live in New York some of the tests are excluded. Which test do I request for?

I did IgG and IgM only. Are you working with a LLMD? If they suspect coinfections they may want you to do more tests.

I did test 188 and 189. Those are for Western Blot IgG and IgM.

Not yet...But which co-infections tests do you recommend.

I need to get the funds to work with a LLMD doctor. They are quite costly. I went to a major university hospital in my area. I just don't get the politics behind Lyme and why the medical community want to dismiss it. I went in with my positive lab results and within a second the ID doctor dismissed it as a "false" positive. So she did the lab work again. I know it will come back negative since I have been on antibiotics.

So this is why it is crucial to get it done at Igenex and to find an affordable LLMD. On Monday I will go to a holistic doctor whose husband has Lyme and is currently in remission. So that will be a start.

I've read that the blood tests for coinfections are not as reliable. My LLMD determined I have bartonella based on symptoms. So maybe start with the IgG and IgM.

Do you have a doctor that will sign the form for the blood test? The form I received required a doctor's signature, and I did get my internist to do it but then she wouldn't treat and I had to find an LLMD, which luckily I found one that takes insurance.

I can find a doctor to sign off. I will do just the IgM and IgG. Looking for an affordable LLMD will be the difficult thing.

I called all the LLMD recommended on the lists. They all charge an arm and a leg.
