Has anyone experienced this before? Over the past week, I have been extremely lightheaded, had tachycardia and arrhythmia (I have an arrhythmia because of Lyme), high blood pressure, feel like my eyes could close at any second, have tunnel vision, can't think straight, hand weakness, and just feel like I'm in an alternate world. I also suddenly have frequent urination this past week.

I went to the hospital the other day and they said my EKG was abnormal (sinus arrhythmia they say), and they gave me fluids. So far it seems like Lyme or Adrenals but I can barely get out of bed and don't know what to do since it came on so suddenly.

I have had episodes of tachycardia, high blood pressure, and feeling like I'm going to faint. I've also had hand weakness, but not at the same time as the cardiac/high bp episodes.

DisneyLove - You said you had treated lyme twice before and were in remission...but it came back?


I'm wondering - did your treatment include the co's - bartonella and babesia?

I treated for Babesia with Artemesia, but I feel like some of the symptoms are back.

It almost feels like some kind of nervous system reaction, but it's been going on for a week.

What about bartonella? Many LLMD's - including the top dogs in the lyme world will treat all three B's.

Bartonella - is often for PNS and CNS symptoms.

Artemisia probably isn't enough to get Babesia under control.

Dr burrascano recommends 6 month iv abx for cardic involment ...after 1 year my bradycardia seemed much better .also have rbbb from lyme bart

I've never treated for Bart. My test came back negative so my LLMD at the time didn't recommend treating it.

I'm not sure what to do to get this flare under control. I'm too dizzy to get out of bed and have that "spaced out" feeling constantly.

I've had 3 bart tests. Always negative. But I have all the classic symptoms of bart. If you have symptoms, you should treat. Please talk to your llmd again about the possibility of treating bart.

I called the doctor today to get my TSH levels, and they are 1.480. Does this sound like hyperthyroid to you guys? The doctor says the result is normal, but I can't help thinking some of my symptoms are hyper thyroid.

DisneyLove - can you give us the TSH range?

The ranges my lab use - that wouldn't be hyperthyroid but labs aren't all the same.

Also you should be getting the FT3 and FT4 tested as well.

The ranges are 0.45 to 4.5

So no - that isn't hyper.

Mine is between .4 and .5

My FT3 and FT4 are good.

I wasn't sure because a friend of mine said that it's on the low-end of normal and it could still be hyper thyroid, which scares me given my symptoms. I asked my doctor to run The free T3 and T4 and he said it wasn't necessary. I wish he would've just run those anyway. He's not very Lyme literate.

Yup - most Dr.s - even Endos don't often see the FT3 and T4 as important.

But, it is. It's part of the picture.
