Questions about
a GF diet are somewhat common here - never hurts to try it, its free. GF is pretty easy if the homework is done beforehand.
**If someone has gut issues, candida or autoimmune with or without lyme , then by all means try it, at least for three months. I've had all the above together for years, but I'm not Celiac, my autoimmune is thyroid and vitaligo. Lyme by itself sounds a lot easier without all this oher crap LOL.** If none of that is present, then maybe GF is not big deal to you.
I also went paleo since January, but have relaxed a bit on that (not much though). The results? Doubled uppper body strength, one autoimmune thyroid antibody normalized for first time in 20 years, C4a inflammation marker went from 55,000 to 1400.
I used to think eating "clean" was a waist of time. I've re-thought that.
Knocking back the lyme critters had to have helped too, but I saw most improvements after the diet change (felt and labs showed it).... I didnt really eat that bad to begin with, but bad enough to slow improvements apparently.
A pleasant surprise.
