Slow intestine, fix?

Only been a few days but my slow intestines seem to be coming around. Too early to tell. But as I was looking online for a very mild laxative I saw a forum post (not here) that mentioned triphala. So I bought some Organic India Triphala capsules. The botttle says to take 2 twice per day. Well the forum post mentioned to take it slow. So ive been taking 2 capsules right before bed. So far so good. Still some tenderness and gas, but bloating seems to be going away, stool seems more formed, and bowel movements are like clockwork.

Hopefully this restores the slow motility. Figured id let you guys know just in case you have the same or similar issues. Thanks.

Thanks trader - I hadn't heard of it either.

I have had good luck with tart cherry juice and binders seem to help move things along for me but I also drink a ton of water. You can have the opposite effect w/ binders if you are dehydrated.

Thanks guys. Last night I experimented a little. I ate a whole pizza at work, which usually I dont have problems with except one chain shop. I stopped before work and bought one. As soon as I ate it I felt bloated. But within a half hour it started ddigesting fine. The bloat went down, though I did develope some pretty bad reflux later in the evening. about an hour later I was home and took my nightly dose of 2 capsules. Another hour later reflux was gone, stomach completely flat and I had energy like you wouldnt believe! This morning a healthy normal bowel movement. Again, very early to make any claims but so far its simply amazing! I shouldnt have bought pizza, especially this chain brand because normally it would have me in bed. I just cant digest it. The experiment proved to me though that this triphala is really working. Hopefully its not temporary. Thanks.

Yes, this tomatoe sauce is very tangy tasting. Like I said, I usually have a problem with this, and I almost never eat it because of that fact. It was the perfect test though.
