Well, the positive news is, if I get swept up by life and away from here, it means I'm living life fully again. I think a total break from thinking about lyme has been super positive for me. I took a month off from herbs again, and mainly focused on good nutrition and the sauna which helps so much. I mixed up a batch of herbs today, and can tell by the mild headache that I'm not done yet with this journey.
Very good news that my body temperature seems to have come up! When first considering lyme it ran around 96.7-97.2. Now it runs 97.7 and gets up to 98 degrees some days.
My pain flares aren't nearly as gnarly.
Great improvement cognitively.
I think it has been wise to follow the wisdom of the body and lay off a bit.
The two things that seem to be the last to go are the fatigue and the issues with sleep.
I've experienced a huge amount of stress which is a huge no no, but the time has come to deal with what it is bringing me. Without going into detail, it took me 23 years to recover from extreme trauma and complex-PTSD, and now that I am whole, a sister who has been asking for support is now in my life.
Gosh - you think support for lyme is abysmal - take that and multiply it by 10 when it comes to those seriously broken asking for help in psychiatric units. Shocking, just shocking.
Enjoying my art still, a few close friends in life, spouse it good, cat continues to seek out my lap, frequently, day job good.
Herb wise, I am going to pare back to the basics as I run out of what I have.
