Are we supposed to feel anything when starting Buhner herbs

I know I'm just starting, im 1 month in today but ive been able to take high doses and feel nothing, im almost jelous of those who said they herx on certain herbs because at least that means they're working.
I'm treating bart and in 1 week was able to get to the full dosage of sida acuta and houttinoyia with no effects. 2 weeks ago i decided to double the dose, just to see what would happen and have been doing that since. Still, nothing. Im also on the max dose of knotweed, cat's claw, red root, skullcap.

Is this normal? Im not going to go an higher than this but could it be that those of us where the infections are in our brain we need higher doses and for longer?

Buhner suggests not everyone herxes. I've had some minor flare ups/herxes? (not sure) since starting a few weeks ago, but nothing terribly bad.

It could be dose dependent, it could be your biology. Others with more experience with the protocol may offer better inights.

It is rare - but not everyone herxes.

One month isn't really long - it could still happen. Are you taking the herbs 3 X daily?

I believe you can go higher than the suggested doses.

Take a look at this thread - cd3764 (former Moderator) talks about going higher than recommended doses.
If you do this - I would wait a while longer...you haven't been on them for very long.

bart does not always causes a herx, i think some people herx because besides bart the antimicrobials also kill say candida. houttuynia is also antifungal, so u can experience a herx from "bart" which is actually candida.

Buhner says bart does not cause herxes. some ppl on the forum here think otherwise but...

I read that in Buhner's book but wasn't sure as that contradicts a lot of what i see here.
Worth noting, since i had no options for treatment i spent the last 2 years moving around to various clean environments and just concentrating on heavy detoxing, trying to get ahead of the game

Is it normal to be higher than max dose and not feel anything? I'm cool with herxing if improvement comes with it

I definitely herxed on bart treatment.

As I said in a previous post - some people don't herx...but that isn't common.

After awhile longer on the max dose of herbs...you could try raising the JK.
You may just need more time.

I too get discouraged when I dont herx. When I herx temporarily it is the only way I know it is doing something so I like to herx in the beginning even though it is uncomfortable.

Are you referring to the Buhner Bartonella treatment as described in his book on Bartonella? As I am considering that treatment instead of the regular Lyme protocol.

Hi, maybe most of your borrelia are in cyst form. And so the treatments aren't doing much things.
Maybe you should try andrographis?
