Can colloidal silver help kill Lyme?

Has anybody had luck using this along with treatment?

I just found this article on it, sounds promising..

I too have mained veined the silva bullet ...it hit some bart lyme in my jounts ..i may do a bit more. Some homeopaths believe ketes show up to clean up heavy metals and the lose a electron when the eat silver .same theory for rife .bvt was is my staple but i may incorperate more oxidative therapy now that i wanna pause on iv abx ...back in the day mecury eas successful treatment for syphilis, just made ya mad as a hatter ...

sapi said we need a trojan horse of sorts ...i was thinking of how floride works so well to kill bacteria.i have been looking into gallium nitrate .maybe why dr k liposomal herbs work .i am using some homeopathic in silver for lyme n company with some success..

My LLMD is big on it. I am not taking it now, but I know he wants me to add it in soon. This would be in addition to the other treatments. I figure it can't hurt.

I never saw any improvement from it. So stopped it.

Reviving an older thread here. I was wondering about this myself. I friend swears by it, so I tried some and saw immediate results. But I was afraid of using too much and switched to the herbs. Yesterday I took half a teaspoon along with my herb regimen, and was knocked out for a few hours neuro-herxing.

What concerns me is that I suspect the silver is a very broad-effect antibiotic, and that it will attack anything living, including the body's own immune cells.

My Dr. added the colloidal silver nasal spray recently, but I havnt started it-I suppose Im hesitant to try it because of fear of the unknown-

How does it really work?
How will it effect my heavy metals burden?
Will it cause even MORE herxing(ive alreafy got hit hardvw/Alinia & mino)

I have the same sentiment.

When I tried it I had pretty immediate results to symptoms as well. But then also was afraid of long term use.

And then I also wonder what other destruction could it be doing. This element goes in your body, does it know what to destroy and what NOT to destroy? I doubt it, because it's just an INORGANIC element.

Herbs are organic compounds (once living things), it has gone through billions of years of evolutionary engineering in living organisms (plants) to have a specific purpose. An inorganic element (silver) does not.

Hi,

Silver has no biological use and is not used by the body. The body stores it, the toxicity is low, so u probably won't get killed by silver toxicity. This is NOT the same as heavy metals. Those heavy metals like mercury and lead, interfere with the immune system in a bad way, so they are very bad, and also toxic.

However, silver will IRREVERSIBLY accumulate in your body, meaning u will not be able to get rid of it, there is no chelator for silver... If you ingest a lot of it, it will get to your skin in large amounts and by exposure to sun it will rise to a condition called argyria, a condition where a person's skin looks blueish metal-like or gray

Silver ions are toxic to bacteria. Silver was among the first treatments of syphilis and it was causing the first Herx reactions in people treated.

However given the many chemicals and plants we have that are toxic to the bacteria, i would not use silver to achieve that. Especially that you wont get rid of the persisters with just silver, it's not as easy ...

I have found - twice now - that the silver ramps up the herx BIG TIME. Last night was truly a lousy time for me, and I haven't taken anything today, as I need to rest my body. I had taken a full load of herbs, and then maybe a third of a teaspoon of silver. I would have herxed without the silver, but I have no doubt the silver added substantially to it.

I've read that quality silver does not get deposited in tissue, it's only cheaper stuff that isn't small enough to act colloidally, that is the problem. I have also read that the flesh under your finger nails will give a small warning before the rest of your body turns blue. But take that for what it's worth, and I'm new to this stuff.

It definitely works (as an antibacterial). But a lot of things can kill bacteria, but what other negative side effects may it have? I just don't know the answer to that with silver, so I stay away.

A stand alone inorganic material to treat lyme (to me) doesn't sound "better or safer" than organic (edible) antibacterial compounds that have been clinically studied.
