Had my picc line installed today, 3rd one so far. Llmd wants me to do 2grams iv rocephrin once a day, 500mg biaxin twice a day, 2 500,000 unit nystatin twice a day, and 500mg flagyl twice a day. What do you abx gurus think? Plus probiotics and supplements.

Good luck Mike! Wish I could help but I didn't have a PICC line and the only abx on your protocol that I took was Biaxin (had a good response to it though). Keep us posted!

Mike - you have recently recovered from a severe herx, right?


When I look at that...I'm concerned it's going to happen again.

Can you just start with the Rocephin...and wait a few days before adding in the Biaxin?

Also, how about pulsing the Flagyl - just two days a week...and wait a week before doing that one?

Yeah girlie you're probably right. I was hoping to hear your opinion. Going to do my first dose of rocephrin tonight. Feeling bad already/still. Have been able to eat a little these last two days so that's an improvement. Lost 8lbs over the last week. My weight has been going up and down through this. I've laid off of most supplements and abx for the last few days. Stuck with the probiotics.
