Hi everyone I have not posted on here in a long time.... So long story short..
I have been sick since 2011 started treatment in may 2015 until now still with the same Dr thought I was 50% better but seem to be backsliding and my Dr does not seem to care I tried to stick with him but he just does not talk and I am at my wits end he has me on clindamycin which I am OK with and added cefdinir a couple months ago well my hair has been falling out and I passed out in the shower... Called him and he said to keep taking it and that my hair will grow back so I stopped the cefdinir on my own. I just feel hopeless anymore I am switching llmd see a new one around three weeks from now..
I am grestful for him treating me but I just want to smack him to make him talk.... Has anyone else seen Dr s what we're your thoughts? I told him I have been feeling worse everything is herxing that is always the answer ....Have you seen this Dr and went some we're else and are feeling better... I am scared to see a new Dr but I need my life back.... Dave from nj I. Know we spoke before and you changed drs are you better now that you are not seeing Dr s anymore? Any feedback would be great.... Than you everyone and God bless!

Oh many of us have had change llmd's. if you feel in your gut that your llmd isnt helping or listening to you then its time to change.

You deserve and pay for proper care, that includes a doctor taking the time to listen to your concerns and symptoms adjust treatment accordingly or go over a plan for trying to get better.

Others should be along they might have some recommendations. Take care and I wish you the best of healing, Jo

Thank you goshawk just needed to vent I am trying to stay positive but it gets hard sometimes...
I know I deserve better care but he accepted my insurance the next one does not just tired of going broke while the drs just collect your money...

So sorry catch scooter that you're not getting more help from your LLMD - I've been stalled in treatment for awhile now - but my Lyme Doc is very nice, but just hasn't really tried to get me to the next level.
And his appts aren't expensive.

Dave posted that he was seeing Dr. J in August.

I agree with changing if you don't feel like you're getting the right treatment....I know someone who saw Dr S and had the same type of response and changed right away! Something about his bedside manner, I think. Anyway, she went to Dr Z in Tinton Falls(?) and had a much better experience. (I don't think she is ILADS trained but she does work with Lyme patients and does not use abx. I know of two people who swear by her. I would've gone to her myself but I couldn't travel that far when I was at my sickest.)

I'm in NJ too, so feel free to PM me if you need any help! I really liked my most recent LLMD! He's in Morristown, NJ. I think Dave went to him but didn't fare as well, unfortunately.

I had to fire my first LLMD. My second one was great. But, eventually I outgrew that one. I was spending more time researching lyme than he was.

My first one did not take ins. My second did. Huge plus. But then I went with herbs and on my own.

Good luck catchscooter. I hope this doc is a good fit for you.

I absolutely hate to disparage any dr. treating this disease but I had an identical experience with Dr S. I am grateful that he treats at all but if there is an issue he is not helpful - at all. He spends no time with patients and this disease is much too complex to rush through an appointment with very little, if any, communication.

Hope you find the care you deserve to have. I'm in NJ so please let me know if you find a good dr. There are so few in this state.

Thank you everyone for the support and replies I live in phila area so I have found someone in the mooresville pa area I just hope we click and she knows what she is doing... I guess keep on trying but she does not take my insurance and she is a little pricey! !Hopefully she will work out if not might need someone recommended. Oh thanks travelor.. And everyone else I could really use a hugsmile
