I have had chest tightness, burning, chest pain and shortness of breath off and on through all of this but continuous for the last 3 weeks. I have just assumed it was anxiety and it may well be, but i don't ever have bad or worrisome thoughts. Just the symptoms. Usually only for a day or less but lately they have been steady for 3 weeks. Not sure what to do. Anyone else have symptoms like this? I have been feeling really bad lately so maybe that's it. Wish i could lose this symptom. Most days it's a minute to minute struggle.

Sorry to hear, Mike.
You've recently started IV antibiotics, right? When did you switch from orals to the IV's? That doesn't sound like anxiety to me..
It sounds like you're herxing.
I think it would be a good idea to have your Dr. check out your heart - for peace of mind.
Sounds like maybe you're having some Babesia symptoms coming to the forefront.
What antibiotics in particular are you taking?

Before i was diagnosed with lymes i did get a full heart workup because i had these symptoms off and on then. Everything checked out fine. That was back in January. Right now I'm on biaxin, flagyl and nystatin by mouth and rocephrin intravenously. Waiting for the bart, babesia, and others tests to come back this Friday. Llmd ordered a heavy metals test today as well. If it's just a herx i'm good with that but i really wish it would let up at least some of the time.

Many on abx do Alka Seltzer Gold for detoxing and it seems to work for them.
What do you do to detox daily?
Here is a thread where it is discussed:

Charcoal , alka seltzer gold and glutathione, lemon water, epsom salt and peroxide foot baths and dry brushing for detox.

Good! You are doing a lot. Just keep adding a new item every week at least.
Detoxing is so important. I truly believe it is so much of the painfulness of lyme.
It is just as important, if not more important, than the treatment.
Anyway, hope you feel better.
My children's benadryl was so very helpful for me to calm down and get some sleep. I did not do it every night. But on those nights when I had to sleep.... a cap full of that gosh awful cherry tasting goop was so wonderful.

How old are you Mike? I had such terrible heart symptoms 18 months ago that they did an angiogram..it caused so much anxiety and was very uncomfortable. I don't take antibiotics but am on a homeopathic protocol and I feel awful...slight nausea, headache and like constant flu. I think if you had a heart work up, you are fine...but I know this is no fun !!!!

I'm 45, thinking its just anxiety/herx. I do have a family history. My dad died of heart attack at 32 and was a healthy major in army that ran 5 miles everyday. Doc did order some tests, c/t scan ekg and echo. I've had palpitations and crazy rhyhtms from the start of this. Skipped abx for the last 5 or 6 days except iv rocephrin. Still bad today but i'm hopeful for a better day tomorrow.
Would love to just get out of bed and have some sort of life. Before all of this i was very active, laying around watching tv/you tube stuck in the house is torture to me. Especially since we don't have cable. Never wanted it(until now lol). Everything that i'm interested in is outside, total country boy/hillbilly. Trying to make the best out of it, watching you tube vids studying for commercial drone pilots license. It's about
the only useful thing i can do with my time right now. My son wants to start doing drone photography/vidoegraphy so i thought i could help him out someday maybe. Thinking maybe getting into watercolor painting next, used to dabble in oil. Bored out of my mind, can you tell? I hate wasting time and that's all i have been doing for the last four months.

Gosh, Mike. You've been through the fire lately. Really hoping you can start getting out of bed soon!
But I'm so impressed with the way you're using your time while you're laid up. Taking those lemons and making lemonade!!! Love it!!
Peace,

Still bad but did get up for a little bit today. Thanks for asking. Stopped taking the nystatin for awhile to see if that's part of the problem. Started back on the biaxin and flagyl yesterday, plus the rocehprin i've been doing the whole time but i'm only doing half to three quarters of the treatment right now until things even out a bit. The doc called yesterday and said all of my coinfection tests came back negative so that's good.

Don't overdo it Mike!
Btw - you do know that negative coinfection tests doesn't mean much?
The co infection testing is even worse than the Lyme testing.
