Sensitive to Himalayan/Sea Salt?

Long story short, 1 week ago I tried himalayan salt sprinkled on my food and about an hour later I got intensely fatigued. When I went to bed I couldn't fall asleep (I never experience this), I was weirdly energized and my brain was wired in a crazy way, kind of paranoid. I felt drugged.

Last night I tried sea salt, and again experienced insomnia, brain fog and a weird energy rush mixed with anxiety.

I am aware that these salts are not sodium chloride exclusively, but also, magnesium, potassium, calcium and iron which are in trace amounts.

This does not happen to me with regular table salt.

Has any of you experienced this?

I have not, but we are all different and all of us have different things that we cannot tolerate.

Wow never heard of that. I love the trace minerals I get from these salts as it is the cheapest way to get them. Love the taste also. Celtic is another good one with even more minerals.

Sometimes we dont handle things well and then as we heal other things we can more easily revisit the things we dont initially handle well.

You can step down to just a pinch in water and see it it happens. Maybe you need way less.

I get somewhat similar effect from Himalayan salt along with worsening heart palps. I feel it could be anything like displacing other non wanting minerals to sensitivity of some ions.

Interesting. What was your experience like besides the heart palps?

It is more like not feeling well overall, just like you want to lie down. My main lyme symptom is heavy beating throughout the body with twitches, vibrations, and that all go worst with salt, lemon and vitamin C, It can be a detox or her, but I feel miserable. With lower dose, I feel I still can give it a try, but already so much to deal with.
