I'm 1 year into BVT. I've been off antibiotics for about 50 days and the last week or so my hand and shoulder pain has gotten unbearable. I know its from not taking the antibiotics. Any recommendations? Particularly for my hand/finger pain?

And please don't say to go back on antibiotics i would rather cut off my hands lol. Looking for pain relief suggestions. Thanks

Sean - just curious - if you know "its from not taking the antibiotics"

may I ask why you don't want to take them if it resolved with them?


Or...are you hoping the BVT will treat that symptom?


Is it nerve pain? Have you tried Gabapentin...or Lyrica. Or are you looking for non-pharma options?

I've been on antibiotics for years and it's not a cure for me. I would have died if i took them much longer. I don't think its nerve pain. Looking for non pharma options. Thanks again

Yes I also have a medical card. Hasn't helped this pain at all. Kratom also doesn't help with this pain

So you've tried the thc as well then?


You've probably tried acupuncture as well?

Is it muscle..or joint pain?


Is it from the infections or a injury..or both?


I guess you're looking for something 'different' as you've probably tried all the 'regular' options.

Its not muscle pain. Probably joint pain but no swelling or redness. I also have tendon pain. It's not from an injury. It happened soon after getting sick and has came and gone with treatment but it's really bad right now. And yes I was hoping to hear of some special treatment machine or lotion that might help.

If it's tendon pain make sure to once in a while stretch the muscles attached to that particular tendon. When muscles get stiff, they tense up the tendons attached causing all types of symptoms, even neuropathic pain by the inflammation pinching surrounding nerves.

Sounds like you may have the same type symptoms in your hands that I have. I don't have redness or swelling either. I get stiffness in my joints. My fingers are the worst. I suspect mine could be tightness in the tendons. I wouldn't really call mine pain, though. It's not an achy, throbbing pain like I would expect arthritis to feel like. It's stiffness and limited mobility in my hands and fingers. But if I press on the joints, especially the small joints of my fingers, they're sore to the touch.

This used to come and go, but now it just stays and fluctuates in intensity. I think it has to do with Bartonella, but I could be wrong. I don't even know what all I have.

Nothing I've taken has helped this. Most stuff makes it worse. This is the main symptom that gets worse for me when I add a new herb or increase a dose. Japanese knotweed is supposed to relieve inflammation, but it makes mine worse.

Try the knotweed. It's helped other people.
