Anyone use Ionic foot bath?? Have a question??

Please don't be disappointed! Your expensive Ionic Foot Bath machine was not a colossal waste of money.

I purchased an Ionic Foot Detox bath about 4 years ago. about the same time that i purchased mine, I read some very negative articles about them. They all had a story similar to yours. The water in the foot bath basin will change color even without the person's feet in the basin. The author's conclusion was always that the Ionic Foot Detox Bath was nothing but a hoax.

I conducted an experiment that refuted the articles that I alluded to. I could relate the details of my experiment in a long article, and someone would still challenge me, and say it is all a hoax. Instead, I would encourage you to generate some first hand proof of what the truth is- to yourself.

Instead of using public water or well water- use distilled water. This is because these other sources of water always contain a large amount of sediment, minerals and possibly chemicals that are in a state of suspension in the water. The Ionic Detox equipment introduces an electrical charge that precipitates almost everything out of the water other than the H2O.

The first part of the experiment is to use only distilled water plus your sea salt that you normally use. You will probably have to use more sea-salt than you normally use, because the materials that are normally in the water are no longer a factor in the electrolysis. Put the electrode array in the water for the normal 30 minutes, and turn the equipment on. When it is finished observe the precipitate and discoloration of the water. Part 1 of the experiment has been completed. Save tray 1 along with its contents so that you may compare it to the contents of the tray used in the second part of the experiment.

The second part of the experiment is to do the same thing as you did in the first part of the experiment. Start with a new tray of distilled water with new salt, but with your feet in the water this time. Do your normal 30 minute treatment. When it is finished observe the precipitate and discoloration of the water. Part 2 of the experiment has been completed.

Analysis: How would you compare the contents of tray #1 to tray #2? Is there any difference in the basic color of the water? Is there anything floating on top of the water of either tray, and what does it look like? Is there any precipitate in the bottom of either tray, and what does it look like? Please compare and contrast your findings as to the differences in the 2 trays.

I conducted this experiment for my own peace of mind. The results persuaded me that my Ionic Foot Detox bath was able to do what its stated purpose claims that it is able to do. I would encourage you to please conduct this experiment, and to share your findings on the forum. I have gone into so much detail in so many instances in the past. I feel that sometimes people think that I am a shill for the alternative health industry. At other times, my honestly was outright being questioned. Shabbychic, when i say this, I am not referring to you.

Don, I'm going to do the experiment in the next few days! I will get some jugs of distilled water to do it. If somehow I can figure out how to upload pictures, I'll do it to show everyone.

To be honest, I do feel as though I have been feeling better since doing them. My neuropathy has decreased quite alot since starting them. Also, I feel less toxic when I do them in the same way as I do after an epsom salt/peroxide bath. Just thought the observation was interesting and wanted to run it by you all to get some feedback.

On to the experiment!!

This is a really interesting thread. I've always wanted to try the ionic foot baths.

Is there a recommended brand? I looked at some on Amazon but felt sort of overwhelmed by the mixed reviews.

Do the ionic foot baths also pull out "good" minerals and such? I'm asking because I had one ionic foot bath a few years ago, and I felt severely drained after, and it took 6 months to return to normal and not feel so drained... Felt like every mineral in my body had been removed...not a good thing.

Unfortunately, I did not have blood tests done before & after the ionic foot bath. This was before I knew I had Lyme.

I don't know why I reacted the way I did to the ionic foot bath. I react similarly to ionizers in a room...I walk in and can immediately tell there is an ionizer in there...I feel faint and like all my energy is completely drained, and if I don't leave, I fell like I will faint and pass out. But I usually recover after a few minutes of being out of the room.

So maybe there is something about how the negative ions interact in my body that caused me to feel drained of minerals from the ionic foot bath? I've never encountered anyone else who has the same problem from ionizers or ionic foot baths.

I have serious methylation issues also, and that may play a role (I am very depleted in glutathione).

I also tend to have reversed polarity, which can cause inaccurate results with energetic testing (muscle testing, ART, dowsing, EDS, etc.). But I don't know if this has anything to do with the intolerance to ionizers/ionic foot baths or not.

I also have a tendency to react the opposite of expected to some things, like caffeine calms me down (before my stomach told me I can't take it anymore), and Valium (was given a low dose prior to a medical test) hypes me up so much I can't calm down at all.

Strange stuff...LOL!

I never use a foot spa, but hearing from others and searching some reviews page like the best-shoe-stretcher, here I found the good features of it, but not sure how much it will work for me?
Any suggestions, actually I am puzzle, please help.
