How long do you do Buhner's Bart protocol?

If I remember right, the website said 30 days, but I don't think he specifies in the book. I started it longer ago than that and I still haven't added all the herbs yet.

Red Root:
This is a coagulant in the bartonella protocol. How long is it safe to take this? Do I need to take breaks with it?

You want to take it until you're symptom free PLUS a couple months.


I don't know anyone who was healed in 30 days....not yet anyway.


Red Root supports the lymphatic system, and spleen.

I did read it is a coagulant - so if that is an issue then you shouldn't take it.
Anyone on blood thinners should not take it.

I believe Dr Rawl's suggests to continue to take the herbs as a lifestyle. I know he has stated that is what he does. He said he continued to see improvement for 5 years and just takes them for general maintenance now. If you don't mind taking the powder, I can see doing this. The powder, in general, seems to be much cheaper than tincture form.

I have been doing it for about 4 or 5 months and will continue until symptom free and the a few months more.


My llmd did have me stop the l-arginine and quecertin.

She also advised me to only do the Sida acuta every other month now.

Jo,

If you don't mind my asking, can you share why your doctor had you stop quercetin and arginine, and reduce sida?

I'm looking for information about the safety of using the Bart herbs for a long time. If I've had Bart since birth or early childhood like I think I have, I imagine it'll take about a year for me to get symptom free.

I was on a bart protocol for the better half of a year and didn't make too much progress, so it hit the bart in the junk with ABX. My MD feels that bart is a minimum 4 - 6 months with ABX, so I would imagine herbs being quite a bit longer.

I agree with many of the previous replies that it must become a way of life forever. I always plan on treating lyme until the day I die, because I know what it can do.

Keep walking by faith and not by what you see, you will get better. I'm living proof that you can go a long way in a short time (almost 3 years treating lyme).
