97.6...I take my temp bc I feel like I'm running a fever, but it's low. What's this mean?

Low body temp is very normal - these pathogens prefer a cooler environment. My weekly temp hovers between 97.6-97.7

Low body temp is also common with hypothyroid or sluggish thyroid so that is something to ask your LLMD about.

Funny you should mention that..
My thyroid was in hyper drive...now levels are in the normal range. Though, both autoimmune levels are elevated. They are watching my TSH carefully.

All my other labs have been fine. With the exception of my absolute eoins. I can't spell it, anyway it's low..meaning I'm fighting an infection. Well,duh right?

I've dealt with a low body temp but felt bad and had no fever for years. At first they said it was thyroid (before my Lyme & Co diagnosis) and had me on synthroid for about a year and a half or so then Dr said my levels were fine & there was no need for the med's. Said my Thyroid was fine now and maybe it corrected itself. Still feeling crappy and felt like I had a fever when body temp was low. Thyroid for me is still fine. For me I think it was my body trying to right off the infections when I felt bad but had the low body temp. Even my NP at the time said it seemed like my body was fighting off some kind of infection but she couldn't determine where at that time. Then that's what prompted the testing for Lyme & Co. Surprise! LLMD said that the Lyme and co can mess around with everything like that. I agree definitely ask your LLMD to help sort this out.

Mine is always low also. When I am having a slight lyme flare it will go up to 99. A low grade fever compared to my usual 97.4 - 97.8 range.
