I'm no expert because I haven't had an an album filling but I have read some of Andy Cutlers work here and there, and many consider him an expert. I know that he recommends no chelation until amalgams are removed, and ALA is one of his chosen chelators. He also recommends no chlorella because it is a chelator, but poorly bonds to heavy metals so they just get redistributed.
I haven't read Cutler's book but I have read a lot of forum discussions about
him here and on phoenixrising. I knew what he said about
ALA, but I was brave enough to take it anyway. I have the 100 mg capsules and took 1 a day for about
6-7 weeks. I started having odd pain in my head and mouth and had the feeling I was pulling metals, so I stopped. I've also had feelings like that with charcoal when I first started and with citrus pectin, which is supposed to be a gentle chelator/binder.
For me, I feel like I need to slowly remove metals as much as I can before getting dental work done. I have mold toxicity, too, so I have to take some kind of binders.
Any suggestions on the best binders/chelators to slowly remove metals while I still have amalgams? In my first post, I listed all the ones I take. I forgot to list NAC. Any insight into the best way or combinations to take things for this?
