Hi,
I've been on abx since March 2017..

2x Cerfuroxime a day
1x Rifapim a day
2x Azithromycin on Monday Weds & Fri only

not noticed difference in symptoms but stretch marks have faded quite a lot. I'm definitely sure my symptoms are Bartonella related more than anything -

Head pressure, Psych problems, Balance problems, Leg aches, Severe Anxiety & Depression, brain fog & cognitive difficulty, Visual problems, Derealization, other psycological issuesetc

I had both my metal fillings taken out last week too.. Still no real difference in symptoms

I've just started taking this Houttuynia from Bristol Botanicals -

What is the best way to take this kind of tincture?? Mix with water?? What's the max drops I can increase to for affectiveness??

I don't react (herx) to anything but I started off low anyway now i'm up to 20 drops twice a day..

STILL NO REACTION to anything.. I'd love even a herx to show something is working but everything just stays the same


I'm 23 and i've had these symptoms since 19.. just want my life back!!

Any success stories??

Pls help!! Advice on the Houtt would be appreciated too!! x

I worked up to 3 dropper fulls of Hout twice a day, mixed in 1/4 glass of water with ACV, GSE, and JKplus from Woodland Essence.

I had just switched over to fresh leaf Hout last March after almost a year on the regular Hout and it may have made a difference. Buhner recommends the fresh leaf form.

Also pulse ABX 2 weeks on and working up to 4 weeks OFF. At about 90% with some backsliding on my first 4th week off last month.

I worked up to 1 dropper full, 3 times a day. I just added my drops to some water and chugged them down.

Some people don't herx. I never did herx.

I've been on so many different ABX and herbal combos that I can't put a finger on any one thing that made a big difference. Improvements were slow and gradual, but now I can tell better when I backslide into the brain fog zone.

You mentioned you're on 1 Rifampin per day.

is that 300 mg?

If so, that might be part of the problem. The recommended dose is 600 mg daily.

doing one herb is not ideal as they typically work synergistically with other herbs to combat pathogens. if i were you i'd add at least another single herb (maybe 2) or 1 combo herb supplement.

Dr. MR in Seattle has had about a 70% success rate using Houtt and Sida (Acuta or Condifolia).

Buhner's triple BART killer herbal combo is Houtt, Isatis and Alchornea.

It's ok to add these to your abx regimen but check with your doctor to ensure there are no contraindicators.

Be careful when i started houttunyia i started low and increased rather fast because i didnt think anything was happening. With other herbs i usually know withiin 4 days if its gonna be bad or not but with houttunyia it took approx 20days and i ended up in emerg didnt really know what caused it. I quit everything and slowly started back on my antibiotics only later to try houttunyia again but low dose before i realized it was definitly the cause.

tickbite666 - same as me. I don't have any 'wow' moments...symptoms gradually fade away...over months..
so I have trouble attributing it to a particular antibiotic.

lots of things i could barely walk was in a lot of pain didnt feel like eating that day had episodes of drenching sweats dunno if i remember the others. They thought i was on drugs when i went in my heart rate was high, eyes were bloodshot they did blood and urine. my crp was over 15, platelets were low, lymph auto were low, sodium lvl was low and they said i was dehydrated. In the end doc figured i was fighting a viral infection of some kind was given 2 pints of iv and a pain killer and sent on my way. i stopped everything and was way better in a couple of days. wasnt till a few months later i tried the houttunyia again at a low dose did i realize it was the cause right away my feet hurt really bad again etc
